EU, AU, Naboo, or poodoo.
I am just psyched there will be more Star Wars!!!
WOW, your not referring to this highly collectible book that is sought after by myriads of fans are you!!
How could that be canon
Ooops, I thought this was the GIL . Move along, move along.
The title of this thread sounds so weary and sick of it all, yet the content's not like that at all. It's amusing, actually.
So it sounds like we might be seeing some concept art at CE II, according to Mary Franklin.
Awesome! Where may I ask did you hear that?
Twitter. Mary was talking with Chiang and McCaig about their CE II panel.
I'm really worrying about JJ's new trilogy's box office, ST2009 only got 385m and the second one got 444m, that's not much in modern day's blockbuster movies.
That's Star Trek not Star Wars. Wars is much more popular than Trek IMO
SW will have more mass appeal than Trek... but still, 444m worldwide isn't anything to scoff at. Just because a few films generated $1billion worldwide fairly rapidly doesn't mean that should be the expected norm of a 'hit'. That's the kind of mindset that led to Disney virtually destroying their hand-drawn animation legacy by churning out movie after movie in what they thought/hoped was a Lion-King-type mold that'd get 'em Lion-King-type numbers every year
I think Abrams has also made Trek far more accessible to the average "Joe" movie goer. I've thoroughly enjoyed the new Trek films. It has stayed true to the characters even in its reinvention, entertaining and feeling fresh even when revisiting familiar themes. This has me very hopeful for the new Star Wars. I'm curious to see who the main characters are and where they decide to take the story. Personally I think it best to stay away from the books while not contradicting them.

Kill it with fire.
No, because without it we would not have the glory that is this:
God bless 'em, they try... but most discussions haven't actually evolved too far past that. Just don't tell them. They try so hard.
The bestpart is when Chyren tells Starblazer to quit lying.
Was there anyone on the boards who Chyren wasn't awful to?
I honestly can say that Chyren was the only person that I ever got into it with on here with my old account... well, until Vortex.
Yes that's what I meant, no offense intended lol
EU is not official Star Wars was what I should have said.
I was following the Zimmerman trial the past few weeks so haven't been keeping up on Star Wars sequel news. I'm gonna check out this site, and see if anything interesting has come up.
You haven't missed anything. Heck, you could have been in a hole for the last 3 months and you'd still know as much about the Sequel Trilogy as we do.
Man, that takes me back. 'Twere the good ol' days.
Well, even though it is again most likely an outlandish rumor, just a wee bit of information as to casting.
And if things did pan out for this rumor I would not be disappointed.
Because DiCaprio wasn't rumored heavily enough last time around.
With the probability that we are days away from our first big Episode VII news, [concept art and casting(?) at CE2] I am in full on geeked out mode. I'm sure we still won't know much after this weekend, but just the thought of seeing the first concept art and really having some nuggets to truly speculate on is enough to keep me on pins and needles. lol. When is the panel with Chiang and McCaig? (I think I spelled those right...)
I've tried not to get my hopes up for this after the whole May the 4th fiasco but despite my best efforts it's almost impossible not to get excited. The possibility of getting our first glimpse at the characters or enviroments of the ST is something I'll cherish. Characters names or maybe a title. Needless to say I'll be a wee bit upset if we get nothing from this. So yeah I'm setting myself up for a huge disappointment.
Hey, I commented on that thread! Good times.
Me too 2015 can not come soon enough
