The pain left her head she sighed deeply her eyes closed hard for a moment and then opened them. A man helped her up, Lenny Jones, "orders." he asked her. What was he stupid? Sylar was the leader of the NSB.

Unless.

She stood up with his help and a nod of thanks, a hand went to her head even though the pain was gone. She glanced around, where was Sylar? where was the Father of her NSB family.

She walked around, not stupid enough to call his name but wondering where he could be. Suddenly her eye's fell to a corpse,a corpse with all to familiar clothes. Her slow walk broke into a run her face a mask of fear. She went to the corpse, and her worst fears were confirmed. She fell to her knee's, Sylar's body lay there his head removed, she was astonished a look of horror and sadness over her face. The man who'd brought her in, shown her how to control her powers, trained her to be his best tool was dead. Killed by a pathetic assassin who wasn't even worth mentioning.

Tears swept down her face suddenly, she didn't touch the corpse her chin fell onto her chest as she wept. A few minutes later she raised her head, her red eyes and tear streaked face now a mask of anger and loathing. Those ungrateful whelps, those demons, those vile terrorists. This man had only tried to help humanity, to aid them in finding their powers and helping the world. They'd killed Sylar, they'd killed her family. She'd kill them, and she wouldn't show mercy.

She wiped her face off with her sleeve and stood, she motioned for an agent to come to her. He came and she told him to take the corpse and take it to NSB headquarters and prepare it for a funeral.

She walked back to Lenny Jones and looked at him and sighed "They have killed the director, slaughtered a man who i...who the NSB held dear. We have to get them back Agent Jones. i believe i'm now in command, i am promoting you to be my second in command. Our first order of business is using Molly to locate them. Then i shall tell you of my plan." Her eyes were literally flames of anger and fury however a devious sadistic smile played on her lips.

They would pay and they would beg for death.

IC: Lenny

Lenny stood in slight shock. Sylar was dead? But that had to be impossible, Sylar was the most powerful person in the world. If he was dead.......... They would take down Petrelli, they had to, to avenge Sylar.
"Alright." He nodded, "I'll follow your lead ma'am, we'll take that monster down. We'll save the world."

IC: Ruth

Ruth hated people making a fuss over her, but she could admit it was called for. She was starting to feel a little numb in her side and wasn't sure if that was a good thing.
"Frag, what was this thing made of?" She said to herself. She leaned round and looked at Manny.
"Not your fault mate. I saw it coming at you, I got in the way. Used to play in goal for my school's football team. That's soccar." She said, trying to keep the humour light.

IC: Animagos - Oceanic Rift, Landmass, 10 Years in future

Animagos flew out of the portal, almost falling nito the sea. He looked around, seeing nothing but ocean around him. He was too tired and frail to make a Portal, let alone where or when it went to. He slumped against a Tree, and aid his head back, suddenly a lazer shot out of his forehead, tiring him but convienently cutting the palm tree branch off, he ate a broken coconut...although he thought it tasted like cocobeans...he then used the palm leaves and made a shadow-cover for himself...

IC: Chandler Billings

"Ok we need to make it to the river immediately, after that we only need to head southwest to Massena. Then it's only a matter of finding the right street, I'll probably get some help from my mom." he said, he then set off to the southern border of Montreal and to the bank of the St. Lawrence River.

OOC: Dementae even though GM can do so, I don't want to hold everybody's hands. Otherwise why have players if I control the game. You'll meet up with the group and find us through yours and Manny's connection.

IC: PEter, Suresh

Peter knew he could always use his blood to heal Ruth. However he felt weak, the fight exhausted him. Taking blood could cause him to pass out. SO for now he left it to Chanlder. He kept a watchful sense of Ruth's heartbeat, Telekentically. If need be, he could keep her alive for a good thirty minutes before giving out. Suresh approached him, " So this must be the future you had often spoke of" he said in disbelief. "Your future, but it's my present. I came back right before the accident. Manny, Ruth, Chandler, Animagos, and even you. All dead by now, that machine goes heighwire and half the western hemisphere was wiped out. But this doesn't make sense, we stopped Sylar. The machine should never have gone off' PEter said confused. "Sylar's not the only one who can press the button you know, Sylvanus and Lenny" Suresh said with a poinient look. It had become aware that once Ruth was safe they had to get to the bottum of things.

OOC: VEry well. But if i have a plan I'd make it clear. I'm revealing things in steps. Nothing anybody posts can spoil them yet.


And btw, for all who can , channel 4, nine o clock. Heroes will be on, I suggest you all tune in for what very well may be the finale of the show. If the writers don't somehow turn things around, hmm maybe they should get some ideas from the thread.

IC: Ruth

Ruth struggled and went to move.
"Look, I'll be fine. Once things stop spinning slightly anyway." She muttered the last part to herself. She tried to get up, but the pain was now a more intense.
"This doesn't feel normal, it was just a small wound, right?" She pleaded, looking at the others.
She knew she was starting to sound frantic and hysterical, but it was feeling worse every minute.

OOC: Uhm, sorry, but I must have missed something. How are we getting to Chadler's place?

 

OOC: i dnno, im not near u, but 10 years in the future, im sure that it might be destroyed by something...

 

OOC: Once we get to the river we're taking a boat to the Massena Memorial Hospital, my character knows exactly how to get there, noting the fact that Massena is my RL hometown. It should only take us a few posts to get there and get Ruth some help.

 

IC Elizabeth Sylvanus:

"Yes Jo...Lenny, there is much work to do before that though." She brushed her eye's once more, she would probably never be over this or at least it would take a while. But she would stay strong infront of her men, she would not show weakness infront of the family she now led.

She rubbed her hands together and paced in thought "First things first Lenny we need to get back to New York. We'll keep small operations here but these machines are over, to useless, so beyond us. The only man who could have made it work is now dead." she continued to the large spiders corpse and with a wave of her hand it shrunk to its normal size. She looked up into the sky, wondering at its beauty before continuing "Once we reach New York we'll go back to getting all the special people. All the ones with power, then we'll talk with what else."

She turned and took out her phone "Get me a ride out of here and to New York now." she said after dialing a number. She looked at Lenny and gave him a lopsided smile of cruelty and amusement "Lets save the world."

IC: Chandler Billings-about 30 minutes after last post.

"Ok everyone into the boat." Chandler said as he motioned to the small party boat before him. "We'll be taking this the rest of the way to Massena, and then we'll go by car to the hospital, my mom will be meeting us at the beach, I called her on the way here." he said as he escorted everyone onto the boat. "I'm sure the NSB knows what we're up to so we only have a few hours tops to get to the hospital, I doubt Elizabeth would want to deal with an entire hospital staff, plus her powers would likely mess with the patients, she would want an angry mon after her, and that's likely what they's get if anything went wrong. The one thing we're going to need to be able to do is figure out how we're going to pay for Ruth's recouperation." he said with a nervous smile. "I have nothing cash wise, I mean I have a few bucks for water or something but I can't afford a hospital bill, anyone here have anything that could help?" he asked looking around.

River Boat

Manny hadn't asked who's boat they were taking or anything. As long as they were getting Ruth some help...and quickly. He did however, stand guard as he wrapped his coat tightly around him. How he wished he had some pyrokinetic ability in him to warm him up. But regardless of the hateful weather, Manny used all of his powers to look out for any sign whatsoever of the NSB.

With that goon dead, Manny was certain they'd be out for blood. Their blood.

As for Chadler's question, Manny simply answered without looking back, as his teeth clattered from the cold.

"How about you draw some money. You could very well make yourself filthy rich that way, but we only need enough to get by and to pay for Ruth's treatment.

Manny rubbed his hands and shoved them into his coat pocket. He gave a side glance and winked at Chandler, then went back to guard duty.

Manny wanted to focus on the mission alone. He could not bring himself to think about David being dead again. Neither did he want to consider the strange vacuum he felt in his mind now that Animagos was gone. That was totally weirding him out. He wanted to help Ruth get better then get to those machines and finish the NSB before they had a chance to finish them. At least Peter was finally begining to take the offensive, and Manny just KNEW that Peter had to have a plan, even if he did not share it with the rest of them just yet. But Killing that NSB goon was a step in the right direction.

At least he thought so.

IC: Chandler Billings/Chandler's Mom

"I can't draw money, there are certain details that can't be drawn, they'd tell it was fake instantly. I could draw gold bars, but I think they'd question that. Maybe my mom and dad can pay it, I just hope we get there before the NSB, I doubt they'll pull anything in a hospital, but I still don't want to be boarded up in it either, the last thing we need is to have them waiting for us to exit, just to kill us all." Chandler said rubbing his arms because of the chill wind off the river. "We should be at the beach in a few minutes." he added. The time went by quickly and they reached the shore fast. A car rolled up to them as they got off board.

"Oh honey are you ok? when I got home and you were gone I thought something bad had happened. Are these your friends?" said Chandler's mother as she lept from the car and started hugging Chandler tightly and looking over Manny and Ruth.

"Yeah, listen we need to get Ruth to the hospital stat." Chandler said.

"Ok get in, will get there in a little over 5 minutes." she said as she let everyone in the car. "Here I brought a first aid kit." ahe added handing Manny the white box. "It should help a little." she added as she returned to her driving. Soon after they were at the hospital and checking Ruth in, though questioned excessively Chandler's mother managed to convince them that Rith had been a victim of a mugging while at the beach and needed help. She called Chandler's dad and asked for him to pay for half the bill, but the point is that Ruth had help.

"Ruth should be ok know." Chandler said walking over to Manny in the waiting room. "We can relax for a bit." he added falling into a seat next to him.

OOC: Travel time is roughly accurate, it's only about five minute from the beach to the hospital.

 

IC: Animagos - Boat

Aniamgos had decided to chance it, attmepting to feel where the last place Manny was before the break, he teleported and landed on a boat, he was in the crowsnest, and fainted there and then.

OOC: As informed to me by Twinky-Styder I have blatantly ignored the time skip, however I would also like to add that I started this split at about the same time as the time skip happened, regardless ignore all my prior posts unless the GM states that it is ok to continue.

 

OOC: We're currently thousands of feet above sea level. That hand and the torch was the statue of liberty... we can't be on a river...cause we're on a desert. So....ummm yeah...I'm going to pretend Ruth manifested a river from moisture in the air. And that Manny's kenesis prevents it from draining through the sand....anyway.....yeah.. and cars...this is ten years into a post apocaplyptic future... I don't think many roads are open when we're currently on top of thousands of layers of sand. Sorry Chanbill I'm negating that last post. Repost or edit, animagos you're fine. Manny's post will have to be voided, sorry but I thought it was clear enough.

 

OOC: I wasn't quite sure what had happened, I messed up big time so yeah ignore those prior posts. As for the river I didn't think everyone was in the time jump so I was taking Ruth to my hometwon from Montreal, which means crossing a river. But yeah my bad ignore all of it.

"Ok I don't thin kwe're in Kansas anymore." Chandler said as he appeared in a parched wasteland. "Peter where in god's name did you bring us!?" he added looking over to Peter. "Well I know what we're going to need, water." Chandler said, he then sat down in the sand opened his sketchbook and turned to a fresh page, he drew several canteens and brought them to existnece handing them out to everyone. "They should all be full, but ration them. I just hope we have a plan to get out of here." he added getting up and placing his sketchbook back into a sack he had drawn prior.

Sorry for adding to the confusion, I guess I'm just human after all.

I'll wait until there's a CLEAR place to post. I'll re-read stuff to get a better idea of what's actually going on. Hang in there Ruth, you'll make it.
