Hey Happy Campers.

Okay I need to find out who is camping that in December. If it is just me we will make it an astronomy night instead after the meeting or something.

 

I'm in! I have a tent and sleepbag.

 

I'm in for either version as long as telescopes are involved ... and campfire stories.

What's this I hear?

 

It's our December Event. Check out the notes on the 2 Nov meeting (at the bottom of that thread) and you'll see everything that's planned but basically we are having our own version of Star Wars Weekends. We will have one Saturday where we get together and hang out. We will also have a trivia game, a Bounty Hunter game (ie Assassin game), Capture the plans to the Death Star Game (Capture the Flag), and Imperial Probe Droid Watching (Star Gazing). We'll be camping at Wickham park.

 

I'd like to camp, but alas I have no gear (cept my car) and no money to rent anything.

 

Stef if you are serious about going or even not I have a spare tent you can use if you'd like- sleeping bag too. Lemme know either way, k.

 

Put me down as a tentative for camping.

(Yes, I've been meaning to post this for a while now. KT's motto: I'll procrastinate tomorrow.)

Well Mom found out the camping thing and said no. Sigh Guess I wont be able to camp...for now.

Starts plotting on how to con parents into letting her camp

 

Just tell her you'll get a chance to play the lamb of god. You won't make like Jim Jones and knock everyone out with one punch. There won't be any Star Chamber meetings and you plan to ride the Hale-Bopp comet UFO to work the following day. This should ensure a yes. If not sneak out the window and give the Fido's some peanut butter.

 

You could always beg.

Or better yet, appear pathetic. It always works with my mommy and dad.

According to my sister though, I look pathetic on a normal basis. But hey, it's worth a try.

or you could do that. Whichever seems more plausible. Good thing we didn't go with- Smugglers of the Space Coast- we'd have sounded to swarthy then- and certainly she'd no then.
