    Hi,

I'm Juliet and new around here (and Star Wars Internet). I'm looking for shipdetails from the old movies. Can someone give me a hint where to look? I've got a wiki from Bing but it is all filled with details from the new movies and games and stuff.

Someone into the old stuff like me?

Thanks for the links. I will study right away.

So I would look for ships from 0BBy till 5ABY, is this correct?

For the Original Trilogy (OT), yes! CR-90 Corvette (Tantive IV), Imperial Star Destroyer Mk I (perhaps Mk II also) and Super Star Destroyer. Perhaps also Victory Star Destroyer.

    You're the best. THANKS

    And for the fighters:
    X-Wing, A-Wing, B-Wing, Tie Fighter/Bomber?

Y-Wing, TIE Advanced (Vader's TIE) and TIE Interceptor to go along with those!

Nebulon B (Medical Frigate), Home One and other MC designs (MC 80?) for the Rebel Capital Ships.

    You're very welcome!

Huh, the rebels didn't got many capital ships during this phase, right?
How did they manage to change their bases this often?

A lot of transports, AFAICR. Plus most (if not all) their Starfighters were hyperspace-capable - unlike the Empire's versions.

Yes you are right. Didn't they need carriers for their fighters at all?

Life-support requirements (plus pilot fatigue and fuel) limited the fighters' range, but it was OK for them to do short-ish inter-system hops on their own. Longer trips needed a mother-ship of some kind.

Yes, it makes sense. Maybe even fuel gets low after a few parsecs in such a tincan.

Welcome to the boards, Juliet92! :)

I saw that Tim helped you very well already. My suggestion for further in-depth talks would have been to take a look at the CT and EUC boards, since there you'll find more fans who enjoy talking about details of CT and EU. You might get a better feedback there. But before you start posting a new thread there, it helps to speak to the mods over there first. In case there's an existing thread already, they direct you there. :)

But that shouldn't stop you from posting here, ok? :)

Hi Skiara. Thank you for this hint. I will look into these boards. I just assumed my questions are to simple for the other boards :)

If looking at the amount of posts, I would say it would have fit at other places as well. ;) It just might have happened that it got locked after the first few valuable answers. Depending on a lot of things. :)

I hope you find the answers you are looking for. :)
