Question Hi there :) I'm looking for ships

Hi,

I'm Juliet and new around here (and Star Wars Internet). I'm looking for shipdetails from the old movies. Can someone give me a hint where to look? I've got a wiki from Bing but it is all filled with details from the new movies and games and stuff.

Someone into the old stuff like me?

For the Original Trilogy (OT), yes! CR-90 Corvette (Tantive IV), Imperial Star Destroyer Mk I (perhaps Mk II also) and Super Star Destroyer. Perhaps also Victory Star Destroyer.

X-Wing, A-Wing, B-Wing, Tie Fighter/Bomber?

 

Y-Wing, TIE Advanced (Vader's TIE) and TIE Interceptor to go along with those!

Huh, the rebels didn't got many capital ships during this phase, right?
How did they manage to change their bases this often?

 

A lot of transports, AFAICR. Plus most (if not all) their Starfighters were hyperspace-capable - unlike the Empire's versions.

 

Yes you are right. Didn't they need carriers for their fighters at all?

 

Life-support requirements (plus pilot fatigue and fuel) limited the fighters' range, but it was OK for them to do short-ish inter-system hops on their own. Longer trips needed a mother-ship of some kind.

 

Yes, it makes sense. Maybe even fuel gets low after a few parsecs in such a tincan.
