FF:NZ Hi to everyone in New Zealand

Promised that I would stop by and say hello.

So HELLO everyone, what are your locations in NZ and what is the best thing about your area??

 

Hey Spider! I am originally from Tauranga which I think is the best little place, it's a cross between a retirement and surf village (80,000 Population, one of the fastest growing cities in NZ). Over summer it's gets pretty crazy with so many people but's there's not a lot to do really after that.
Just moved to Wellington our Capital and am enjoying it so far. Plenty of Sport and things to do plus it has a good atmosphere.
You Aussies should pop over some time.

 

We should, I have always wanted to see NZ maybe one day with luck I'll get there.

we have the cleanest water, the best bus system, and a wizard. what more do you need?

 

Yeah but it's pretty damn cold down south in the winter.

ya, but Dunedin is more Scottish, that has got to be a bonus, right?

Coldness is overrrated, I mean it hardely ever snows here, I have only seen it stay twice on the ground for 22 years.....

 

Dunedin: Haggis, Black Pudding, Speights and Students. The best being Speights.

Actually I've never been there, everything I know about Dunedin I've learnt from Marc Ellis. Bless Him.

 

Ahh Dunedin. The riviera of the south.

Less annual rain-fall than just about anywhere in the north.

Art, Speights, theatre, Speights, academia, culture, have mentioned Speights?

No snow to speak of for the last two winters.
Yep it does get cold but GET HARD!!

Born and bred and wouldn't live anywhere else apart from Tauranga (if I had to).

 

Woo Hoo Tauranga, I'm a Tauranga man born and bread, 21 years there and I just gave it away for the capital city.

Highlanders! (only cos the Crusaders dont have a chance) Go Speights! I had a keg of CD
at my 21st, and when it ran out we had to switch to Speights and everone cheered! it must be taking over....

only spent a few weeks down there, must visit again. lovely historic Architecture as well.

 

Don't give in to the Dark Side (CD I mean)

 

I supported the highlanders for a couple of years (Only because I'm not a Waikato fan) but they failed me twice so I switched to the Hurricanes but i'm getting the same response. Stuffed if i'm going for the Crusaders or Auckland. I'm just stuck between a rock and hard place.

 

well the weather is fine here at present, cos of the drought i guess, but it is getting cold at nights now
