$$$ High Dollar Collectables Request Thread

High end collectible manufacturers do a lot of research to determine which items to produce for us. Sometimes they hit the jackpot. Other times they spend a huge amount for something that sits on shelves.

Here is our chance to let them know, all in one place. If it be Master Replicas, or Sideshow, or Gentle Giant, etc... this is the thread to post your "I would pay $$$ for that, right now's" in.

Tenative Guidelines:
1. This thread is NOT for "that would be cool's". We want honest to goodness requests. If you would not be willing to pay SERIOUS CASH for something RIGHT NOW, don't post.

2. This thread is for high dollar collectibles only! Not simple Hasbro toys.

3. VOTE! If someone posts an item you would also pay for then add your voice to that item. Once we have more than say five people vote for an item then we will add it to the current tally of requested items.

4. The second post in this thread (in case this is ever stickied) will be updated with a current list of items and the number of votes. If an item actually gets made by a manufacturer then we'll show that here as well.

The motivation behind this is that we can have a convenient place to have our voice heard by manufacturers. We can point them here to look at what those of us who spend the higher dollars really want. Then, we might really get what we want!

So, what do you REALLY want?

 

This post is where we will tally the results. As of now, there are no results, because no-one has voted. I'll kick it off though with some things we've heard people ask for in the higher dollar collectibles.

Master Replicas:
Darth Maul Double Bladed FX

 

Since MR has started doing studio scale ships, I would like to request:

Death Star Studio Scale MR from ANH

Death Star Studio Scale MR from ROTJ

If I had to choose between the two I would pick the ROTJ.

I throw my vote in for a Darth Maul MR FX as well.

 

MR will release a darth maul fx saber next year! I heard this from a MR rep.

 

Others have mentioned a MR Qui-Gon Hilt. I would be on board for that one too.

I would pay really good money for a statuette of the "horses" and cart with Padme's death scene. It's a bit on the girlish side, but it represents an important moment in SW. And I'm sure the female collectors would like something like that as well. A really faithful representation would be quite beautiful.

I'll throw a vote towards the Maul F/X saber. That
would probably run a little higher than the average
F/X saber, but it would be a big seller, IMHO.

If GG ever did a really nice Luke Bespin Fatigues
statue, I'd strongly[[/b] consider it. Especially
if it was in a dramtic action pose. A handstand
Dagobah version W/Yoda would also be tempting.

 

I vote for a Maul FX sabre. I would love to get one !!!

 

I would have to say my vote would be for a count dooku fx saber

edit: I say dooku fx saber just because it has that unique curve and look to it comapred to all the other sabers

 

I really, really, REALLY want Franklin Mint to do a wardrobe trunk series of Padme and Leia dolls.

They do these fabulous 16" celebrity series of dolls where they sell the doll in an initial costume, then you can buy authentic costume reproductions every couple of months. Finally you get a trunk that arrives about 1/2 way through the series.

The dolls would be similar to the ultra rare Queen Amidala doll from TPM made by Robert Tonner for FAO Schwartz.

Overall investment is quite high for the complete set, but their work is amazing.

 

I would love an MR ROTS Obi-Wan FX saber. I heard awhile back they might be making one,but I haven't heard about it since.

 

I'm an FX saber fan so here's my list.

-Obi-Wan Kenobi FX lightsaber from either TPM or AotC

-Qui-Gon Jinn FX lightsaber

-Count Dooku FX lightsaber

-***Darth Sidious FX saber (I would love to see one of these)

-Darth Maul FX double bladed lightsaber

-Obi-Wan Kenobi RotS FX lightsaber

-Yoda FX lightsaber

-RotS Darth Vader FX lightsaber

Thats all I can think of right now.
