I had somebody from the LAFF contact me about walking. Since they're not doing it, I gave him all the info about joining our team and walking with us. That would be cool to have another walker!

 

I got a hotel today. $74 for a saturday night stay at quality inn main gate about 1 mile from the park. will give all the details at meeting.

Street gear. Those of us that have them will be wearing our IEFF shirts. Here's the info you need. If you further questions, read through this entire thread or PM han-shot-first. He's our team captain.

#2 click where it says "join a team". under the "register as a team member " spot, pull down menu until you see Inland Empire Fan Force. next put in you personal info to register.


#3 Participants must raise a minimum of $25 to walk.
Walkers ages three an up must register and wear a wristband.
Free parking and wristbands for entry are included when you check-in, and will be issues in advance.
Sorry, but animals (except service dogs), roller skates, bicycles, scooters and skateboards are not allowed.
Stroller and wheelchair rentals will not be available for the Walk.
Personal strollers and wheelchairs are allowed.
All walkers are subject to security checks before entering.
No one may begin the Walk after 9am


#4 here's a small breakdown of prizes earned by donations colllected. there's even higher prizes shown online:

$500 - $749 1 CHOC Walk pin
1 CHOC Walk T-shirt
2 Disney Park Hopper Ticket

$300 - $499 1 CHOC Walk pin
1 CHOC Walk T-shirt
1 Disney Park Hopper Ticket

$150 -$299 1 CHOC Walk pin
1 CHOC Walk T-shirt
1 $25 Mimi's Café Gift Certificate


#5 all you need to do as of now is raise money. if you're sponsoring yourself by credit card, you can do so online. other than that, you can use cash / checks made payable to "CHOC". hold on to all monies as I will be collecting it from you as i've got to actually hand it to them on a specified time, which i'll give all the info at the meeting on the 9th. I will get everyones wristband for entrance and prizes when I drop off money.

this was way cool: disneyland will open the park to just us people walking, no general public.
it's like a long parade with over 11,000 people all in their own colors / banners etc. i'll give the details later but at least we're not having to squeeze through people.

Go IEFF! I wish I could be there for it but will be up at Lake Arrowhead with the better half to celebrate our anniversary.

okay CHOC group!!! spoke with vicki at CHOC today and i'm set to give money to her this friday at 5:30pm. if anyone has any other $$$ for the walk, i'll donate on there behalf for the group. yea!!! almost there. i'll be picking up everyones wrist band for entrance and goodies for anyone getting them. your time and effort is greatly appreciated! and for those who donated $$$ you will be with us in spirit and we'll make you proud we're there!!!

you can't sign up online or over the phone but what you can do is one of the following. if you wanna walk, tell me how much money you have, and i'll donate / sign you up when I go there friday. you can pay me back when we walk. I need your info though, so call me. i'll PM you my info. if you can't walk but wanna donate, you can donate to our group ( inland empire fan force) and donate under my name (mike parker)
