Hipsters are awesome. Gotta love 'em.
...said no one ever.
No, no you don't.
I'm still not entirely sure what they are, but I loathe them nonetheless.
Darth Tunick's hipster version?
Anyone who wears glasses with no lenses (like what the hell? They're called glasses, you layabout douchebags) is worthy of scorn.
Personally, I don't care how people dress or what they do. Live and let live.
Count me among those who don't understand what exactly a hipster is, or why all the hate.
Hipsters... they ruined things once considered cool, they ruined irony, they ruined being "alternative", etc. I am not a fan.
Funny thing is, hipster are the only social group I find even remotely tolerable in my country, so that's saying a lot about the social circles existing over here. We need more diversity badly.
For all your hipster questions, consult the wisdom of puppets:
that sounds like hipster talk to me, Debo
This sounds like something I would have said in the 8th grade.
Before it was cool, eh Harps?
My sister's boyfriend is a hipster through and through. He actually dresses like the 2nd guy in the OP (tight jeans, scarf, hat), but his hair is longer and straight, and he has a beard. He's a nice guy, he really is. I have the hardest time having a conversation with him though, because he doesn't like anything popular, like Star Wars, most movies, and most well-known music artists - "it's cliche to like the Beatles". Oh, he also plays the guitar, which he carries around in a case wrapped in bright pink tape, and he's majoring in guitar performance.
Gotta be honest... he's not the cool future brother-in-law I've always hoped for.
But its the one you deserve, because he isn't a normal brother in law. He's the silent guitarist, The Bearded Hipster.
they're basically just a different type of nerd than you folks. there should be love and togetherness between hipsters and star wars nerds.
The problem is they won't come down from their ivory tower.
Which is totes ironic, since like, ivory is unethical. I don't like unethical practises, that's why I watched Kony2012 three times. So glad we caught that guy.
you have a point. we're going to need to meet these people more than halfway to help them understand. will we allow ourselves to do it? i think we can.
i also post at another board that is basically a hipster paradise free-for-all, and there are definitely star wars nerds there. i mean, they trash the movies, but they also love them dearly. there's even an episode 7 thread there.
