In the Thrawn Trilogy, we were introduced to Admiral Hiram Drayson, then a fleet commander on Coruscant. In the Black Fleet Crisis, we see him commanding Alpha Blue, IMHO the Star Wars equivalent of MI6 or the CIA. In this incarnation, we really see him hit his stride, serving as an aide to Leia and performing all sorts of clandestine operations.
Fast forward to the Enemy Lines NJO duology. We meet Bhindi Drayson, who tells Luke she is Hiram's daughter.
    Who did Drayson marry?
What has he been up to, assuming he's still alive?
And would anyone like to see his return?

Wasn't Bhindi the daughter of Drayson and Joi Eicroth?

I knew that Drayson had an affair with Eicroth, but where did you read that they got married?

I believe in the NJO it is stated in one of the Hero's Trial books that Hiram and Joi had married and then divorced.

But, yeah, he rocked out in the BFC. Loved that guy. He was so cool.

Ha ha!! Yes, I suppose thats one way of looking at it! Not sure why I thought he was dead. I think I must be thinking of someone else. Some military bloke died in Darksaber? I think...... Oh who knows - so long since I read it.

Anyway, back to Drayson. Bhindi can't possibly be the daughter of Joi. In BFC, Jacen & Jaina are 2 yrs old & Anakin is 1 yr old. Fast forward to the NJO. Bhindi is written as if she is about 28-30. Now, since Joi was not pregnant in BFC & there was no mention of Bhindi or any baby of any sort, Joi cannot be the mother. Bhindi must come from Drayson's first marriage. Otherwise, she'd be younger than the Solo children & I don't care how good your father was at his job, there is no way in hell that a 15 yr old girl would be a member of the most elite NR intelligence group at that age!

Just because she isn't mentioned doesn't mean she wasn't around.

Jacen and Jaina are explicitly 7 1/2 years old during the BFC, with Anakin 6 years old. So that adds plenty of years to your estimate. Not to mention that it's obvious during the BFC that Drayson and Eicroth are not new acquaintances; the Star Wars universe's apparent insistence on moral propriety aside, there's no reason not to think their child dates from before their marriage.

Yeah, I'd have to agree with that.
Most of hte time I could actually sympathize with some Vong.

Ah, apologies there! Read JAT & BFC one after the other so I guess the ages got a bit mixed up in my head! Still possible that Bhindi comes from Drayson's first marriage though.......
