Regardless of which way the election goes, the election will make history. I think it's fair to say that it has already, in fact, made history. It's been a memorable road so far--who'd have thought that John McCain could have become the GOP nominee after his campaign went backrupt early in the primaries, and who really expected Barack Obama--the darling of the youth--to wage better funded and more efficiently run campaign than the 'inevitable' Hillary Clinton? So whether we get the first African-American president or the first female vice president, here's history. We could see a Democratic landslide, or a Republican surprise win. It could even be a nailbiter to put 2000 to shame. Who can tell? One thing I know is that between the primary thread and the general election thread, we've had an extremely vital and fascinating discussion from all sides. And if Barack Obama does win, I'll be expecting a massive monumental scale post from Jabba-wocky. I'll end this by quoting Kate's post from the last presidential election thread: Remember, as always, to keep it civil. No flaming, baiting or trolling will be tolerated. Thank you.
