Hobbie looks like Frodo's old icon.

 

Considering that my last icon was Hobbie, that would make sense.

 

I like the comic book Hobbie better. He doesn't look so...redneck. (the '2 fighters against a star destroyer?' scene)

 

I didn't think he looked "redneck!"

I always think of some farm boy from Minnesota!

 

Redneck for want of a better term...

I am here on behalf of the NEUE. If we have posted this request in here before, please forgive us. I am going around asking all of the threads if they would put a governor from their thread in the NEUE. The governor would not have to attend meetings like a Senator would in the Senate, they would just report problems from their thread to the NEUE. We will try and help you out as best as we can. Mainly what we are trying to accomplish, is a quicker, more efficient, alternative to the EUIS, and to try and make a self-government with only major problems being reported to the mods. Re: dating Hobbie... I'd definitely go out with him. I know how to put a smile on that long face of his.

In my Myn and Lara story (blatant plug) Wes complains that he never sees Hobbie now that he has a girlfriend... so at least in my mind he has an active and healthy love life.

And we just shouldn't mention the slash possibilities at all, should we.

(For the record, I'm not a slash writer meself, although I have thought of doing a Luka/Carter ER fic. Oh well!)

I think Hobbie definitely needs a girlfriend, though. I hope he has one in the NJO.

I'm starting work (outline stages) on a Hobbie story, about why he retires, and Wes';s and other's reaction to it. It's a two parter, one part taking place relatively soon after Adumar, the second well into the NJO, so I wanted to pose a question to his fan club: what do you think Hobbie would do if he weren't able to fly? Where is he and what is he doing?

Just want to know if anyone else has thought about this sort of thing.

A request for those of you who read the NJO... I am writing a new collection of stories about the old rogues and what they are doing during the NJO (they should be in the stories but are not). And I have no idea what Hobbie could be doing (in terms of fighting, ie how he would join the fight if he were not allowed to fly) prior to the fall of Coruscant. I am pretty sure nothing is mentioned about him, so he could be doing anything. Does anyone have any ideas for what Hobbie would be doing then? Preferably (so it fits in with my into) something on a planet next on the list for Vong invasion.

I think Hobbie would be training new X-wing squadrons or something during the NJO. Either that or on vacation on Adumar in the tropical regions. (All the pilot babes all over him... )

Dr. Hobbie. Well, he'd have better bedside manner than Phanan, at any rate.

Patient: "See I have this mole. Looks kind of funny, don't you think?"
Hobbie: "...Uh huh. Yes, that's quite alarming. Probably one of those rare DNA-altering diseases. I'll run some tests to make sure, but you should probably get your affairs in order. I'm really sorry."
