Always happy to help out another half-sized hero.

Hobbie is great and just as funny as (if not funnier than) his partner in crime Wes Janson. The problem with Hobbie is that he has gotten very little going on for him. Wes was with Wraith Squadron, so we got to know him better, but Hobbie's only real role in a novel was SoA.

    We want/NEED more Hobbie Klivian.

I know what you mean. The first book I read in the x-wing series was SoA so I figured he would be in the others but no such luck. I hope that they bring him into the next njo book because Wedge and Tycho are in RD so it would make sense to bring in Hobbie and Wes for the next one.

WAHOO! A whole fan club for my wonderful Hobbie!!

I've been a fan of his since he was MENTIONED in the movie! And then he showed up in the books and I nearly wept for joy! Come on, I just think a guy named "Hobbie" (yes, I know his real name is Derek) is bound to be COOL! :)

    (BTW, I'm a Rings fan as well :) )

    Most definitely! YAY!

So, who here just thinks that Hobbie is a comic genius? If I had his wit, I'd be on top of the world!! LOL!

Only ONE of the reasons I love Hobbie!
    (I keep writing "Hobbit" by accident...lol) ;)

The Hobbster rocks (sorry that kinda worked with Wes but I've just made our hero sound like a crustecean :p )

There's just not many characters around like him. Everyone's so optimistic and acts like they've got a firecracker up their you-know-what. Not our Hobbie! :D He's the only one with a real grip on reality and possibly the only pilot that can't re-inforce his shields with his ego! (And yes, sorry to admit it but Wedge does let his ego get away from him at times :) )

IMHO Wedge deserves his ego. What really cracks me up is how Hobbie hides his behind that glum face of his! You know that line from ESB: "Two fighters against a Star Destroyer?" I read somewhere that he wasn't worried about it not being enough protection, but wondering why they were sending two to do what one fighter could easily handle! How's that for a Hobbie-ism?

Exactly! Our beloved Hobbie HAS an ego...he just manages to make everyone else's seem much bigger than his!! LOL!!

Hey, why'd I never see this before?

Ah, yes, good ol' Bugbite. ;) Count me in.

As founder of the Wes Janson Fan Club, I suggest we get together, go find the Wedge Antilles Fan Club, and drive it into the ground. :D

Oh, yes, you must read the comics. I haven't read many of them, but Hobbie gets his due.

Also a LOTR fan and a Stargate SG-1 fan. :D

Hobbie's great. Especially when he gangs up on Wedge with Wes. I agree, let's find the Wedge Club and throw Ewok puppets at it.

Ewok puppets. I like that idea.

I wish I could read the comics but I have yet to find them. One time soon maybe, if I could find them. Could you give me the names of some of them? Thanks

I actually haven't been a Stargate fan for very long but some of those lines are really great.

"Are you considering the same tactic as I?"
"No, Teal'c the cliche is 'are you thinking what I'm thinking'!"

    "What is an Oprah?"

    Those are my other favourites.

THIS is an outrage! There's a fan club for Hobbie and I was not informed?

What is this world coming too?

My favorite part in Starfighters was when Hobbie started getting anxious to kick ass.

I posted this fan club a while ago but for some reason nobody seemed to respond and it kinda went back onto about page 7. That would be why you may not have seen it.

Stupid people... Notice when I joined the JC, or I would have been here. :D

Ewok puppets? We've raised a real Ewok army. And they're potty-trained.

EDIT: Oh yeah- For the comics, all you should need for the title is X-wing or X-wing: Rogue Squadron. I order mine through the barnesandnoble.com. At B&N and at Amazon they're pretty cheap, but you have to have a credit card. If you can find a comic book store near you, you can ask them to order the comics for you.

It is your solemn duty as a memeber of the Wes Janson Fan Club to join and support the Hobbie Fan Club. The two characters are partners in crime, so the two fan clubs must gang up on the Wedge club. Anyone figured out if one actually exists? Or do we have to start one to lure the Wedge fans into our Ewok ambush?
