"It's a shame you feel that way," Thompson stated. "Because, you see, you can either cooperate with our tests, or we'll be forced to enact some rather rough measures to ensure we get our answers."

Thompson looked around the room, listening to Shane ramble on, then he heard him ask for food. The core weakness to it all, Shane had just admitted all control over to Thompson and his Company.

"We will feed you, you do belong to us now, it's a responsibility," Thompson spoke. "You have no life waiting for you outside anymore, no one you can contact, we've dealt with all of that, you're alone Shane."

Thompson stood as a man entered the room, Shane actually recognized this one, it was the guy he saw at Starbucks, taking pictures of those three kids. The man whispered something, "ready" it sounded like.

Thompson straightened his suit, looking back to Shane. "This isn't a dungeon, it's your home for right now, I suggest you treat it with respect. You could be here for a very long time."

Thompson approached the door, "We'll be back to get you."

IC: Bart Sanders

Proof, Bart was still laughing about that one. They needed proof that he was a freak -he still didn't exactly consider Third Degree Heartburn apower- and proof he had.

He approached the secretary, a new pair of sunglasses hiding his flaming sockets from view. "I'm Bart Sanders. I-I phoned ahead." That had just felt right to say, like something out of a comic. An old comic, like something by Moore or Gaiman. She was a freakin' secretary. Of course she knew he phoned ahead, but he just had to say it like that, right down to the stutter. He could see in his head the grainy, watercolored panel and the speech bubble.

He lowered his sunglasses, just enough for her to catch the orange low from his sockets and smiled, the same orange glow showing between his teeth. Then he turned to sit down, looking at some of the 'super' men, women, and children gathered around the studio. Some probably had legitimate powers, although with the way he'd been talked to on the phone, most of the people here probably didn't.

Bio: Born in Venice California Drake started surfing and skateboarding at a young age. He originally started doing Tae Kwon Do at around 5 but quit when he was 9 to skate. From when he was 10 he would cut class to scope out new surf spots with his friends. He started skating when he was 12 and soon almost stopped going to school. When he was 14 he taught himself to play the guitar. At 16 he joined a band at the time called Green Grass. This same year his new band friends got him into the crack scene. He stopped skating when he turned 17 and started smoking crack more often. His habit got out of hand when he was halfway through his 17th year. He passed out no the street with crack on his person and was arrested. Because he was underage he wasn?t charged but sent to a rehab center. There he spent the last 6 months of his 17th birthday.
When he got out of rehab he started his own band called Bloody Temptation. He restarted surfing and then skating. When he was 18 he went to school again and graduated. He kept playing guitar and started vocals and skating and surfing until he got sponsored in both skating and surfing and his band got a gig at a local club. At the club a producer was scoping out new talent and noticed Bloody Temptation. Drake negotiated a deal with him to produce a CD. He then got sponsored by Zero skateboards and Fallen footwear in skating and Quiksilver in surfing. The new CD was such a hit his band was asked to tour with Rise Against, The Used and My Chemical Romance. The first location was too tour Japan for 3 months. During this time he saw a couple of Karate gyms and he tried them out. He trained with a samurai sword anad when Bloody Temptation left Japan he was awarded the samurai sword he has today. Their second location was New York. With him he brought along a crew to skate for the new Zero video ?New Blood? and for a piece in an upcoming video titled ?The Untitled Video of Very Titled Skaters.?

IC: Francis Hillian

He was tired, exhausted, even, but Francis hadn't better in a long time. He'd gotten out and helped! He was brimming with pride, even if his lack of energy masked it.

Sadly, however, energy was something the young businessman would need in the coming weeks. Press releases, conferences, meetings, and discussions...ugh. The thought of it all made him cringe. This wasn't his true place in the world - he was sure of that. What kind of socialist runs a big business?

And then Davidson was coming...so much to do, so little time.

Slowly and deliberately, Francis reached for the intercom. Normally, he'd just walk to Monique's desk. It was, after all, just outside his office. He didn't want his superheroics (it felt great to say that, especially when it applied to oneself) to affect normal life. Superheroics - Francis wasn't sure about the heroics part, but it was certainly super.

He pressed the button, and Monique's voice came through the tinny speaker.

"Yes, Francis? Is everything all right?" Francis was flattered, touched even - a hint of concern in her voice.

"Everything's fine, Monique. I'm just too beat to get up." he replied.

"Long night?" she asked. Francis could almost hear the warm smile. Then he realized, he was smitten with his secretary.

"Not that kind of night - I'm just exhausted. Would you be so kind as to set things up with Davidson?"

Monique laughed, and Francis smiled. "Of course, Francis."

IC: Shane (Unknown Location)

Shane laid there in the bed, and just stared at the ceiling. He could not believe it. He was at the top of his game, and then he moved to the "Big Apple", or what ever they called New York. Then he lost everything, he could not believe it. His fist slammed into the cheap bed, and let it bounce back up, on its own.

"I have to get out of here, some how, but how? Then find a place to...." Then a thought came to him.

"I've worked with your kind long enough to know how to paralyze your abilities, somewhat anyway."

"Yesss...that could be my way out, that is if, only one of my abilities work, even partally." He stood up, and concertraed, on each of his abilities. Things formed and died, before even becoming substancal. Then a headache exploded in his head, and clasped his hands to his head. "Ahhh!" He fell to the bed and moaned from the pain of it. After a few minutes, he fell back to sleep, wondering if the pizza was going to get here.

He just rested only for a few minutes, then got tired of just laying there. "I wonder what tests they have, and how can I bring to my advantage."

Shane got off the cot, and walked slowly around the room. "Man, right now I could use x-ray vision." A smile crossed his face as he thought about it. He could see nothing in the walls that looked like holes or places to put a camera in, but there was always the chance. Then he walked over to the glass, and pounded his fist against it. "Hey, where is my pizza", he screamed at the top of his lungs.

OOC: Alright, time to get this back on track. I'm not sick anymore, so I should be anle to get more regular posts back up. I still haven't heard from a number of people. Dunno what's going on with that.

Thompson was annoyed by Shane, the man clearly didn't mind who he bothered, even when he could be killed if Thompson just so uttered the order. Proceeding through a large steel door, Thompson faced Shane once more. Following closely behind, two men in white coats, and three other men in black suits, carrying guns.

The men in the black suits went into Shane's cell first, pushing him to the back of the cell, allowing the scientists, or that's what Shane would assume, to roll in a table and a number of instruments. Thompson then came into the room, closing the door behind him.

"We need you to lay on the table and be cooperative," Thompson spoke. "You see, some of these tests are quite dangerous, a wrong move and you could be paralyzed, brain damaged even."

Davidson straightened his tie as he rode up on the elevator. He had a business appointment with Francis, a man who had no idea of Davidson's real occupation. In time, hopefully, he could manage to sway Francis to joining his cause, he would be a valuable asset.

The elevator doors opened, and Davidson proceeded to the front desk, outside of Francis' office. He had know Hillian for a few years, but he never realized his true potential, he wanted to learn more, it was one of the reasons he set up such an unexpected meeting.

"I'm here to see Francis Hillian," he said to the woman.

IC: Shane (Unknow location)

When he finished yelling for his very much over due pizza, he could see Mr. Thompson, and four other men. "Now what, it takes all of them to bring a pizza?" Then the two in black suits, carrying guns intered his room first. Forcing him back towards his bed. Then two "white coats came in, plus Mr. Thompson. "Hey now, what gives."

Hearing the word dangerous and paralyzed, together, was not saying it was party time. Shane had no intentions of waiting to see what they were going to do to him, or why. He wanted out. Faking towards the one on his left, he swung around back to his right, with a balled up fist, hoping to hit the man in the chest. This time, he had to fight for his life or die trying, and Shane tried to bring in some help. Hoping against all hope, and a headache, he tried for several armed ninjas.

He was not going to be a guine pig for no one. As an after thought, he wished he took martial arts,too.

Francis Hillian

Francis was sitting in his office, listening to soothing music. He couldn't remember who the artist was - probably Pat Coleman - when his intercom buzzed. Francis opened his eyes, only then realizing that they had been closed.

"Yes?" he mumbled into the microphone.

Monique's voice replied. "It's Mr. Davidson to see you."

Francis blinked. "Let him in, please."

Francis stood, and quickly stretched. He'd need a good sleep this night - maybe a vacation would be in order. Maybe he'd invite...no, best not to think about that. Francis turned down the volume on the stereo, and let Davidson in.

"It's good to see you."

OOC: It's worth it. Just seems we've hit a dry spell. Dunno where all the players are. lol. I've sent out Private messages.

 

OOC: NEWS-

FIRST OFF, ANY PLAYERS SHOULD START POSTING AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK.

Alright, it's time to get this game back off the ground. First off, a MAJOR game update is coming this weekend. Any player still wishing to be involved with Hollow Men needs to PM me before that update is posted, your character will be included and kept apart of the main storyline.

To all the players who never returned my Private Messages; your characters will be killed off immediately. You are still allowed to Private Message me with a new character for approval, but if you cannot post at least ONCE A WEEK, then I need to know.

This game can only survive by its players, and we ARE ACCEPTING PLAYERS FOR APPROVAL. I've done my best to contact players and keep this game going, so now it's time for the big guns. Let's keep this game alive.

 

Alot of people are leaving because the end of the school year is coming up. Tests/Projects etc. I guess they will be back afterward. Don't panic, its happening to alot of RPGs now, including mine. Ending of the school year. Just keep reminding people that they are apart of this and you're not going to let it fall.

I'm just letting my RPG cool down. If people post I'll respond. Just wait. Don't let it fade off the board. I'm just waiting for the summer explosion.

I know what you're thinking, Real Life is a hassel. If I'm accepted I'll be posting VERY often.

Bio: Animagos was born his skin colour, and was abandoned at an orphanage becasue of it. He then began growing the skin flaps and no longer needed to wear clothes, although he did to hide his ashamed skin colour.

He eventually fled the orphange because if bullying and joined a boarding wchool where he said he had a disease so he could get his own room. He studied alot and became very interested in the laws of physics, especially when he saw objects floating around whenver he woke up, jsut to crash back down wen he saw them. When he left he began to wander the streets, getting jobs here and there to obtain needed money.
