When you go to the WW thread....there is an area to click into that is "WW Chicago Exclusives"....the Holo Leia is not mentioned...

 

Yes, but up until recently, the Holo Leia wasnt shown as a Comic Con exclusive.

Usually they show all the exclusives in Yoyfare, but the last one I picked up didnt even hint at it.

I also think this whole, buy it before and pick it up at the event is a testing ground to see if it works better than standing in a line to buy a figure. (I smell a c4 lead up, and possibly a switch from gencon to wizard for running any of the upcoming Lucas events)

 

One thing bout this is that unlike previous exclusives, it actually has the Comic-Con logo on the card. Now while this might not stop it from popping up elsewhere, I think they intend for it to be only in San Diego. Now does that mean we might see one with a different card later? Who knows.

 

Did they actually show a picture of the logo, or did they just say it will have an exclusive comicon logo?

If there isn't a picture, I bet that we will get a "convetion exclusive" logo a la the silver Fett from 2003.

Speaking of 2003, that was the first and only year I attended GenCon in Indy. It was actually worse there than at CIII. On the other hand, I've always had a good experience at Wizard World. I really hope they take over at CIV.

 

yeah, i hope this bodes well for the future of C4--it's whoever is doing the fan club who's setting this up, in conjunction with StarWarsShop.com, which I think is all under the LFL banner nowadays. hopefully this will mean they can force this kind of purchasing onto the people running the next con, as every celebration has had nightmarish retail.

 

You would think the years GenCon had been doing conventions, they would know their stuff, but C2 and C3 proved otherwise. I'd be afraid if someone else picked it up, it would move again, Denver was impossible and Indianpolis was OK. Too bad we all can't put an order in and have someone who is going pick them all up.

 

Maybe the "Black Sun" can organize some sort of swap with the San Diego Star Wars Society's collector's forum for some WW Chicago exclusives.

there are no Star Wars Exclusives listed....and there isn't much of any exclusives...

Doesn't even appear that they have many celebrity guests listed yet....
