My god... If you think its cold in Edmonton (a brisk -30c) then you should come to Devon!

    It's -44c out here!!

Heh... Just thought I would let you know IT'S COLD in a useless thread for no reason :).

Heh... The nice thing is, I don't have to go outside :D.

I can just curl up by the furnace vent, and enjoy some social studies :).

Your eyes were watering? I'm kind of surprised they didn't freeze. ;)

Heh... It was her tear ducts that were "watering"... It is salt water (tears), and as such will not freeze.

I am glad I dont have to go out :D.

Yikes! Uggh! It is so cold. I had to wait outside for probably a total of half an hour waiting for the bus! I just got to work and don't want to take my toque off!

    Wotta buncha whiners.

I lived in Labrador City for a year back in high school and saw -101 degrees (with wind chill added in. The actual air temperature was only about -55). If it was -79 or below we didn't have to go to school, one day it was -78 and GUESS WHAT I HAD TO DO!!

BTW, I now own the giant Yoda IMAX banner! In the words of Frink, "My wife is going to kill me".

Welcome back to the boards, you lucky, lucky man... I would have killed to have that banner... literally...

As far as cold goes, I had to wait for 2.5 hours last night for AMA cause my bloody car wouldn't start... I was NOT impressed... [face_plain]

I parked in the underground parkade today, even though it is going to cost me 10 bucks for parking... just for the DAY! :(

And while Labrador sounds cold as well, you guys need to spend a winter in Winnipeg... you Edmontonians don't know what cold really is until you have lived there, trust me!

    >I would have killed to have that banner... literally...

Yeah, a stroke of luck for me. It kind is disappeared after it came down, I eventually asked where it was and found it in a storage room. I was given it, and the next day there was a big cleanup in there and it would have gotten chucked. Getting it home was a pain, even with a short walk home. Bloody thing weighs about 40 pounds, ten minutes out I was regretting it. What I'll do with it, I have NO idea. I think there are only about 40 of these in the world.

    >cause my bloody car wouldn't start... I was NOT impressed...

I had my car towed a few blocks and it cost 77$!! AIEEEE!!!! I just about died.

    >And while Labrador sounds cold as well, you guys need to spend a winter in Winnipeg...

Thats a "moister" kind of eastern cold and is quite formidable, but for hard-core low temp insanity the arctic cannot be beat. I have tossed water out the door into the blast and watched it crackle and turn to slush before it hit the ground. The air density is so great you can hear traffic miles away.

Working full-time at Silver City unfortunately has not left me time for socializing, working all evenings and weekends has made me into a bit of a hermit. Dang.

Right now our films are pretty commercial but the next few months will pick up with Confessions of a dangerous mind, Daredevil and.......one word...............MATRIX.

    Holy crap.

    Seen the Japanese trailer??

Well if your wife won't let you keep that banner, I would be more than happy to take it off your hands... :D

I haven't seen any of the trailers for the Matrix yet, didn't know any were out... gonna have to go searching tonight when I get home... :)

I'm loving this weather, and I don't really know why everyone is complaining about it! Besides, my parents live in the Yukon, so this is nothing.

    Welcome back Starbender.
