I still miss my cat who died over ten years ago. I'm sometimes haunted by her and my other pets of the past, though, so that makes it easier.

Yes. Pets have a way of doing that. More than once, I've been laying on a bed and I feel a cat jump up, but there's no cat to be seen.

I also keep thinking I see a cat in the corner of my eye, but it is definately NOT Simba.

If they love a person, they hang around. Especially dogs. They want to make sure their person is protected.

Recently, my sister's old dog Curly 'passed the token' to her current dog, Champ.

It used to scare me a little, but now, it seems to be so common that I treat the "phantom cat" like our living one.

Except the ghost cat can't bite me or scratch me.

Coota, it may be a scam, but it still makes me feel good that my poetry is being published in its third book. And this one is not published by the International Society of Poetry.
