So, I got a note yesterday saying that the USPS tried to deliver a package to my house, but they couldn't leave it because I wasn't home to sign for it. Usually, that sort of thing would tick me off because that means I would need to take an extra trip to the post office during my lunch break to pick it up. Considering what was waiting for me, I forgive them:

I consider that an early Christmas present to myself. :p

    Oooh snap!

EDIT: Also god damn it I come into the break room at my job and the news on the TV had to inform me about this sudden tragedy.

Yup! I'm pretty excited! The elusive signature I wanted badly for my collection! :p

And yeah, I found out about it earlier at work. I saw it briefly on a news website and then it really hit home when a reporter from the local TV station called our office asking for a reaction from one of the administrators and how our school district is prepared for potential tragedies. People are really, really sick to do something like that.

Yeah, that was a hell of a bit of news to come out of a final to. I cannot even begin to imagine what those people must be going through.

I just had to come on here and say: I was posting in a World of Warcraft RP forum and they were discussing the differences in good and evil characters, saying how its all about perspective and being the SW geek I am, I dropped in "from a certain point of view?" And no one knew what I was talking about. So out of my element... :p

    And, yeah. So horrible! :(

On the subject of good notes, I just did a grueling arithmetic grind (That really is the only word for it, at the end of the day it's playing with stupid algebra to prove far more interesting things) for like, two hours...

    AND GOT THE RIGHT ANSWER*.

*It really is amazing how nontrivial it is to prove some crap your calculator can verify. Freaking number theory mang.

No. He's the hero that Gotham deserves. He's a silent guardian. A watchful protector. A dark knight. CUE HANS ZIMMER.

Super powers do not a 'hero' make, nor a 'villain' for that matter. :p

They do sort of make the "super" part, though. :p

Though frankly PREPTIME is such a godmode ability these days that the Batgod might as well be lumped into the super category.

Well, after seeing The Hobbit I clearly need to brush up on those LOTR appendices...

And as for Man of Steel (seriously guys? You couldn't have put that trailer in front of The Hobbit? Or Star Trek Into Darkness so I could get me some Cumberbatch?), after being exposed to Michael Shannon on Boardwalk Empire, I am really interested in seeing him in Man of Steel.

What's The Hobbit, some kind of formalism? Is it one-to-one with Z or am I supposed to be thinking of it as an algebraic extension of the rationals? I need a discriminant before I...

Oh, right, that movie I've been waiting for. Right. Yes.

    ... Freaking number theory.

Speaking of Cumberbatch, my friend finally made me sit down and watch the first episode of Sherlock. Wow. What a show.
