Don't worry: the way things were going, your chances at either were already slim.
Now you gotta wonder about the people that actually sold their homes, bought end of the world supplies, and hunkered down in a cave
Maybe they can form a support group. "Hi, I'm Bill, and I thought the world was going to end because a civilization that couldn't conceptualize the rational numbers was set to change their calendars in December." "Hi Bill."
Did anybody see that guy who is going to jump off Bell Rock in Arizona tonight? Once the dateline hits or something like that?
People say a lot of things.
He also says a portal to the center of the galaxy will open there at that time, and he'll find the galactic supercomputer which is fabricating a holographic existence to keep all of us as Matrix-style slaves. I'm surprised the History Channel hasn't done a documentary on it yet
Oh my god, it all adds up now!
it too bloody cold and windy for the end of the world stuff...
so, I'll just hug the coffeepot, thanks.

I spent my final day on earth hanging out with my dad for the first time in a year and watching The Hobbit in IMAX. Great fun! Problems with the movie, but I can ignore them, which is a pleasant rarity.

So yeah, power is back, I'm on Christmas break and the world didn't end! Life is good!
Merely a temporary setback, I assure you. But now that the foundation has been laid, the final triumph of the Magnificent 10 can come to pass!
I'm going to steal Sarge's line for a moment:
Yes, that's the idea!
... Times like this I really want to run a giant mecha game.
I'd play it
I feel icky you guys. The world was supposed to end so I are a whole pizza.
Apocalypse? More like Snowpocalypse for Ontario. At least two feet came down.
Send some of it here, would you? We only got about ten centimeters.
There is definitely a large-ish snow drift blocking my back door. I thought going to my parents' place for the holidays was me escaping the BC winter; apparently not.
More than we got here in England. Right now we're not even getting frost.
Even we Germans got snow. And incredible . . . I totally posted in four games! I think I never before was in that many games here.
