No idea. I suppose I should be glad I've never read this 50 Shades thing then, probably saved myself a few hours of reading trash.

I'm skeptical on that front because of the way the Internet is creating divergent and increasingly esoteric tastes. Typical high sales these days, at least in the music industry, and increasingly in the book industry, are reliant on LCD appeal to middle class teenage girls with money to burn, because not much else sells. That the first book continues to be the best seller of the three also suggests curiosity playing a role, in which case we can chalk up the sequels to people buying all three at once, and/or a fascination independent of its literary merits - not a wholly novel phenomenon, c.r. Ed Wood, pulp magazines, comics, and penny dreadfuls.

As for what DOES speak to a universal truth about the 21st century with regard to sex, well, I'm pretty sure more people have seen goatse than have read 50 Shades. Make of that what you will.

GAWD DAMN! I've dismantled alien empires, navigated through the most hostile of environments, returned the Old One back to his eternal slumber, slain the Archfiend, defeated the robot masters, and saved the princess!

But I can't hit 40 out of 50 of Christopher Robin's pitches in Winnie the Pooh Baseball! CANNOT DO IT! :_|

I had a hard time breathing last night with how hard I was laughing. All my friends only discovered Winnie the Pooh Baseball last night and I, of course, immediately warned them how their butts were going to get kick. Of course they scoffed and declared the game was for babehs. But soon....yeah! Their pain and frustrations were giving me a good laugh. I even have some of their reactions recorded because I knew this would be something that I should record:

    "DON'T CHOKE WINNIE!"
    "STRENGTH OF A BEAAAARRRR!"
"Its like struggling and fighting to free yourself from a pair of handcuffs...only to find out that you're in a jail cell. That's what going from Owl to Tigger feels like."

Their efforts inspired me to try and take on Tigger again though. Fortunately the game actually keeps track of my progress so I was able to take on Tigger right off the bat and...

    YEAH! Took him down :p

    But oh gawd Christopher Robin!?

Nope nope nope nope nope nope.....

So is this an internet game or a console game? Because this is the first I'm hearing of it.

Wow, at first I thought this was just some kind of joke I wasn't being let in on. Now though, I apparently have to go get slaughtered by a bunch of Disney little kids characters...

    This should be interesting.
