I've been listening to a lot of Kyuss lately (Peng, you should appreciate that IIRC), and all I want to do is create a game set on Tatooine called Blues for the Twin Suns. Nothing really heavy, just a bunch of random characters on this planet made of sand, trying to make their way in the universe whichever way they know how. Sort of a Tom Waits-ian dirty western with a stoner rock vibe. That's the kind of game I really want to play.

So Harrison Ford crashed a plane Was flying a Ryan ST monoplane, got engine failure, and when he tried to land on the runway he ended up making a crash landing on a nearby golf course. He survived and, funnily enough, there were doctors who happened to be playing golf on the scene to give him immediate attention. Must've gotten a pleasant surprise when they peered into the cockpit and saw Harrison Ford at the helm!

Now it's time to make some "Guess he didn't make the Kessel Run" jokes.

 

This seems oddly appropriate...



Glad that it sounds like he will be OK though.

Edit: Actually from what I have seen he did a heck of a job putting the aircraft down as well as he did after losing the engine in flight. But the joke was too good to pass up.

 

The best part is the fact that that was uploaded on the day it happened

 

There's already audio of his emergency air traffic controller call. He's pretty calm about it, and golfers that helped him out of the plane say he was pretty okay, just in need of some stitches. I gotta say, though, he's got to be a decent pilot as well as a lucky guy to make it out okay from that. If he hadn't thought as quickly as he did, there's a good chance we'd be mourning him instead of making relieved jokes about it.

That said, on to the relieved jokes - Indy totally jumped out of a plane with nothing but a life raft and made it out okay, so this should be no surprise.

I sure hope he finished all his shots in the movie...
But I'm happy he's doing ok.

 

Man, I know I've got too much work going on when I'm rereading posts here from Friday and I think to myself "What, that plane crash? That was like a month ago, y'all're nuts."

 

To be fair, we are nuts.

 

That's true; I often feel very pistachio-like.
