Math. Specifically logic and algebra, but basically a big open problem is on the verge of being finished for good unless somebody finds a more than technical error in the proof.

Gender reveal party for my wife's oldest this evening. Err... For his baby, not for him. He's 27 so we know his gender already.

that'd be quite a feat to hide it for 27 years, i gotta say.

 

It's been done before.

Anyway he's a year older than me so I get to be something resembling a grandparent at a rather uncommon age which is fun. I'm sort of mulling over the idea of concealing my age from the child for their entire life, just to see if I can pull it off.
