He pretty much nailed it based on an early 80s BBC documentary I've watched. Certainly he nailed the somewhat hyperbolized Raoul Duke character. Although I guess if you want to get super technical about best casting in that film, it's the guy on the right:

Usually when I edit I only get rid of the swear, not tense suffixes (-ed, -ing, -er). Which are the variants I've used in MS.

Doesn't really matter, mind, since a bunch of asterisks always makes you look kind of silly regardless.

"Stop trying to kill me!" Evelios demanded, throwing a bottle at the moderator's head before storming out the door. Ramza nimbly dodged the projectile, but got covered in ruby porto anyway when it exploded against the wall.
