Hostess files for Bankruptcy

One Twinkie has 150 calories, 41 from fat. Hardly the bane of a healthy lifestyle that they are made out to be.

 

It's more that it's devoid of nutritional value to go along with those calories.

Every now and again I get a fierce craving for a Twinkie and I'll go through a box in a weekend.

Apparently my habits aren't enough to keep Hostess from bankruptcy.

 

I hope someone has informed Woody Harrelson of this news.

i once saw an eating contest where the contestents had to eat as much butter as they could in like 5 minutes. a guy at 7 sticks of butter.

 

The last decade or more the US culture has permeated into British culture, but thanks to US comics being on sale in the UK when I was small, the Hostess Twinkie was my very first example of something that I would never physically encounter within my own country, but which I knew about.

I instantly knew what was being referred to when I saw the thread title, which seems strange, considering the impact they have had in my life, compared to say, air hostesses.

 

It's as if, a billion fat people cried out, and were suddenly silenced....

 

If their chief product, the Twinkie, can be left in a High School locker all school year long and still be (relatively speaking) edible, I have a feeling that the company will be able to bounce back from this just like their cream filled sponge cake

 

I still have over twenty chocodiles in the freezer.

 

if elected newt gingrich would bail out hostess in the hope of putting a moon pie factory... on the moon!!

 

i will not miss the twin keys.
