Unless I'm mistaken, I think Google has loaded new satellite images for the Orlando area into their maps (link in my signature).

Jawa3 , you might want to cancel that and run! Read the Horrible reviews that place is getting. I booked there too back in January and canceled it after MattDoc pointed me to the reviews.

There is only 6 days left to book Hotel rooms through the CV housing block.

 

I'm a newbie. My daughter and I will be staying at the Embassy Suites-International. Love the full breakfast in the morning! Just noticed the shuttle schedule is posted, if anyone cares.

I'm staying at the Rosen Plaza Hotel, finally had the cash to book my room, yay!

Be nice to stay at a hotel within walking distance of CV...shuttle free at last! :~)

You can book a room with cash? I thought you had to have a credit card. I tried to add a day to my reservation but I'm not sure it went through. I'd love to be able to book with cash as it would be one less expense to worry about later.

 

If your serious about your question, No you can not reserve a room with cash.
Here is how it works IF you book through the Celebration housing block.

You have 4 days from today to book a room at reduced prices.
you will reserve the days you want , then on July 21 you will be charge ONE NIGHTS room + tax (%12 I think) and then the rest you will pay cash or credit when you check out.

 

Echo-3, in hindsight, it was a pretty silly question but yes I was serious. I forgot that they were charging one nights room & taxes early. Thanks for the info.

 

I'm SO sorry, I guess my post was a bit misleading. I used a VISA Check Card to pay for the room...it works same as cash, or so it seems. Finally saved enough in my checking account to pay for 4 nights of rooms (~$450.00), now have to purchase flight, or drive from Texas! :~)

Angry_Leia, your post was fine. I just had an air-head moment...it really was a silly question. I was busy thinking that it would be cool to be able to pay for the hotel now instead of it being charged later since I'm getting deeper and deeper in the hole with all the things I plan to buy/do at CV.

It's becoming more expensive on a daily basis. I sure wish I could afford the Mark Hamill autograph,in fact, I don't really want the signature at all, just a "hello" and handshake! :~)

Maybe we could all bring snacks and such, have "pot-luck" dinners in the rooms, hahaha!

 

Martha, I've never been into autographs but somehow I have at least $200.00 worth of autographs that I want to get & this doesnt include Hamill who I'm seriously considering. I think I may be getting caught up in the excitement of CV since it'll be my first Celebration.

We live 2 hours from Orlando so at least we'll save money on travel. And seriously, I plan to bring a cooler full of snacks/luncheon meat. Feel free to ask for goodies if you see me.
