just wondering what you thought of star wars parodies in general, if you've seen some...
I can think of two obvious ones: Spaceballs by Mel Brooks and that awfully made porn cartoon starballz...
There are a lot of references to Star Wars in other movies (jay and silent bob strike back for instance...great one)

Maybe we could try and do a full listing in here...excluding fan films, those are not mainstream and way too many...

I just happened to catch some of Beverly Hills Cop 2 the other day, and there was a funny scene with a SW reference.

Murphy's character is riding in the backseat of the car with the two Bev Hills cops. Rosewood (the skinny one) is driving like a madman, so Murphy says, "Are your eyes open or are you like using the Force up there?"

I forgot how funny it was. I also recall (not specific lines though) that in many of Eddie Murphy's movies, he uses SW references. A closet fan perhaps?!

It may not fit the topic exactly (if you just want films), but one of my fave SW parodies is Weird Al's "The Saga Begins." It just cracks me up! :D

Another movie is Dogma when Jay was said something like "whoa...this is just like Star Wars...I'm Han, you're Chewie, and we're in that F&*@ing bar!"

also in Mallrats, Silent Bob uses the force.

Actually, you might as well include all of the Kevin Smith movies. I'm pretty sure they all have Star Wars references. :D

Another one is in the Opening credits of that show on Disney, the brother and the sister fight with lightsabers (I think it is called Even Stevens?)

    after edit
    -------
    Forgot to mention...

    * The Simpsons constantly use Star Wars references.

    * Muppet Babies had at least 2 episodes where they were Star Wars characters.

    * Speaking of Muppet Babies, the Muppet Show had an episode where R2, 3PO and Mark Hamill all guest starred. (Man I miss that show...)

If you haven't seen it yet I reccomend "George Lucas In Love". It is hilarious. It's only about 9 minutes long but I think it is the best parody I've seen besides Hardware Wars or Troops. When he {George} goes to get advice from his professor you'll laugh forever.

    How about these:

On "Saturday Night Live", in his first sketch as Nick the Lounge Singer, Bill Murray added lyrics to the STAR WARS theme music. ("Staaar Waaars! Nothing but Staaar Waaars!")

On the first episode of his short-lived NBC series, Richard Pryor appeared in a sketch as the bartender at "The STAR WARS Bar". We first see him arguing with an alien about baseball. (Like whether Garpok was a better hitter than Hank Aaron.)

On MST3K, during an operation scene in "The Brain that Wouldn't Die", there's a close up of a respirator unit. Mike Nelson immediately quips (in Vader's voice), "Join me, Luke, or you'll end up making 'Corvette Summer'."

There's a scene in "Strange Brew" where Doug MacKenzie (dressed in stormtrooper-like armor) imitates Vader: "I am your father, Luke Skywalker! Turn to the Dark Side, you knob!"

And "Dexter's Laboratory" does STAR WARS jokes all the time, like Dee Dee wearing Princess Leia "Hairy Earphones" braids when she rescues Dexter from aliens.

George Lucas In Love is a good one.

Toy Story I and II both have numerous Star Wars gags.

Adam and Joe have done several excellent mini Star Wars films using action figures and playsets on the UK's Channel 4. More than just the usual references like "use the force/I am your father", they seem to know what they are talking about.

The show is suitable for adults only. Adam & Joe use words like ****, ****** and **********.

I know this may be the dumbest one, but there was an episode of Full House(The stupid show with Bob Saget) where one of his girls had Princess Leia hair.

Ferris Buellers Day Off is another one. The 2 garage guys that take the car go cruising through Chicago with the Star Wars main theme playing in the background.

Ever Clear's song (I think it is called Everything?) has a line that goes...

I want the things that I had before
Like a Star Wars poster on my bedroom door
I wish I could count to ten
    Make everything be wonderful again

There's a song called "Fame" where they talk about this girl becoming a jedi knight. The band is either sR17 or sr71....or something like that...I'm not too sure. i got the song from a friend. The line is:

They called her princess cause they always knew she'd be a servent/never having an ambition in her life/they all knew she end up just another losers girlfriend/who'd of though that she'd become a jedi knight

    It's a pretty good song...

Also I was up late last night, was channel surfing and caught Leslie Neilsen in "Wrongfully Accused". There's a scene in a theater where an usher is seating a lady and when he turns on his flashlight to show her to her seat the flashlight beam becomes a lightsaber beam. It was kinda funny to me then, but it was like 1am, so I'm not sure I was totally there. I'm surprised I remember it.

And in an update on the MIB2 cartoon. I've seen the movie 3 times, shown up early each time, and not seen the cartoon. I don't think it's there. Another reason to take TF.N reports with a grain of salt. That's all for now!-Sky

There is an episode of the Simpsons I love that has Mark Hammil in it.

*to tune of Guys and Dolls* Luke be a Jedi tonight!
    Luke be a Jedi tonight
(bah, I can't remember the rest of the words to the song)

    Use the force!
    What, the force?
    No, the forks!

On an episode of Dexter's labratory, Deedee was teaching Dexter to be athletic and "one" with nature, and she rode on his back in a backpack and did the whole the whole Yoda thing.

Red Hot Chili Peppers song Californication has the line:

"Space may be the final frontier
But it?s made in a Hollywood basement
And Cobain can you hear the spheres
Singin' songs of station to station
    And Alderan?s not far away
    It?s Californication"

In Shrek when Lord Farquaad is torturing the Gingerbread man it sounds like they're making fun of Grand Moff Tarkin and Leia. And one of the guys says something like, "My Lord, we have them."
