IMO, a good nominee has been forgotten: though the trilogy sucked, I liked the Balancesheet - Assembler subplot in TBHW a lot. For me, it was the best part of the storyline, and I think bad works of fiction should be nominated for rewards they reserve just as often as brilliant ones. Don't be insulted, GL, but for example the FX oscars usually go to otherwise bad movies (plotwise).
So for future nominees, I suggest picking at least some awards (like - I dunno - best use of Solo kids or something) not so great books like the Corellian Trilogy could win. It'd be boring for all the awards to go to MAS, Zahn, ALlston, Salvatore and maybe KJA.
BTW, great idea!

Visions of the Future

 

Ok. I feel dumb asking this, but could someone give a really brief synopsis of the sub plots? The only one I can even remember is Vison of the Future.

 

I vote Vision of the Future all the way, baby!
Red Fox, not remembering the subplots of the other three nominees might be a hint as to how good and memorable they are, IMHO. Just a thought.

I didn't like the nominees for "best sub-plot" at all. I would have voted for Jedi search, the Han and Chewie in the mines subplot...
