Everybody was devastated at Master Skywalker's death.

None more so than Leia.

They may only have found each other as adults, but they had come to rely on each other over these many years as much as Leia's own twins did. He helped her accept being officially the daughter of Darth Vader and embrace the Jedi legacy of Anakin Skywalker as their own. They had formed a bond like no other through the Force and now that bond had been severed. Forever.

Leia would never be able to find anything in the Force that would allow her to say goodbye.

 

Juliet - hi and welcome to the SW side of things. Very true to Leia's thoughts and emotions as Luke's sister and friend and very much what she would be wondering. Very well done!!!

 

I've written a few SW things before, but it's been a long long time. The prompt that inspired this struck me so much in a "how would Leia handle that?" sense. Thanks for the wonderful feedback.

 

What a heartbreaking little fic. This is one of those stories that really lends itself to being so short, the emotion is certainly there and I think is more strong being that it doesn't drag it out.

That last line is killer!

 

So short, yet so heartbreaking. Well done.
