From Communications, selected from their FAQ.

    Quote:
How do I become an administrator/moderator?

The forum moderators are selected by invitation only, either by TheForce.Net staff or other administrators. Please do not ask to become a moderator, as this has been previously tried before and does not have any positive results for a member

It takes years of model posting. Plus, asking to be a mod usually disqualifies you.

As Daniel already stated in the FAQ, it is a really long way and there is nothing you can do, except to post in a good way. :)

Nevertheless I hope you enjoy your stay and have much fun. :)

    See you around. :)

dedication. I personally, don't see myself ever becoming one. I don't spend enough time here, and people just tick me off in general. If you stick around for a while, are helpful to them, and are a contributing member, you're probably up for the position. but remember, there are a lot of people who qualify also.

Actually Daniel, Jedi Washington and Skiara have explained well. :)

I can't really add any more except post well, be a model member of the community and help out mods by informing them when you see a problem.
Adhere to the board rules and regulations and set an example and you never know how things will go. :)

Now let me say "Welcome to the boards, darth_vader19! ;) I hope you enjoy it here with us. Please feel free to ask us any questions that you have about this place. We are more than happy to help you out. :D

    God Bless,

    Blaine

Typically, how long do you have to be posting here in order to get an inviation?

There's no real typical time, but I would say no less than a year or two. But it's not written in stone or anything.

Agreed, and sometimes you'll have to wait a lot more than that, simple because there's no free spot availabe - because one of the most important things for a mod position to become available is of course that one of the existing mods steps down first. ;)

Being a moderator is something the right people for the position usually understand without having to ask.

Being a moderator is overrated. If only there was a way to become a bitter ex-mod without being a mod first.

    Being a moderator is overrated.

    Also, modding sucks.

    Amazing.
