how do you imagine obi wan before the PT?

i always think that obi wan was a class of han solo in his time because he was a rebel jedi and more sarcastic, what do you think?

 

Kind of how he is now.

 

Could you expand on "rebel jedi"?

 

Before the pt I thought of Obi as realy wise and cool and after watching the pt and seeing all the stuf he has been through I think he is even more cooler and realy realy wise.

 

I just figured he'd be a bit refined and proper.
We got some of that and many other character qualities.
It was really great seeing him come of age.

I agree. Read Jedi Apprentice. Quest as well. And Secrets of the Jedi. Gives you a real, real appreciation for Obi Wan. I have every book.

 

I imagined him more like a young, 12+ year-old teenager as he was in the Jedi Apprentice novel series, but without the braid and Jedi haircut, less arrogant, slightly wiser and more refined, a better sense of humour and used more lightly, and a deeper voice. I also thought he was about the same age as Anakin at the time of the prequels.

 

As he was in the prequel trilogy.... and it was good to see him becoming more and more like the Sir Alec Guinness Obi Wan as the trilogy went on...

 

I thought he'd be more reckless ("So was I...if you'll remember.") in episodes 1 & 2.

Then in ROTS he jumped in to a room full of battle droids with a smile and a "Hello there!" Pretty darn reckless indeed!

 

Yoda to Luke: You are reckless!
Obi-Wan: So was I...if you remember.

 

Oh God, not the Jedi Apprentice series!

Mischievous, like he was in TPM and especially ROTS.
