I hate wearing ties with a vengeance and my tie is always the first thing that comes after a business meeting or court attendance. I don't wear a tie in the office. When forced to wear a tie, I knot my tie depending on the tie in question and the collar of the shirt I'm wearing. Usually a full windsor or half windsor. I hate skinny ties and skinny little shoe lace knots but I also think the fist size knots preferred by TV presenters and sports people also look ridiculous.

Quick point that criminal jurisdictions don't count, because until very recently in most Australian states lawyers got to rock a wig and black robes in those courts.
