JCC How do you like your steak?

    What is your favourite cut of steak?

    What is your favourite 'doneness'?

    Mine is Eye Fillet, medium rare! (just realized that in the US, it is deemed beef tenderloin)

    I have a fellow worker, who prefers to eat well done... I can't believe that, actually, so does my sister and brother in law ... sacrilege! It is like eating cardboard!

    Then again, the opposite, blue steak, turns me off.

    Anyone eat Steak Tartare?

    Medium rare is the only correct answer. It has the right combination of flavor, juiciness and tenderness.

    As for cuts of steak, I have a lot of favorites. Filet mignon and top sirloin round out the top of the list. The only one I don't particularly care for is ribeye.

    Medium rare and I love many steaks.

    Rarely had steak growing up, usually round steak and it was always well done.

    Haven't had steak tartar, but did enjoy s cannibal sandwich (my dad's name for a raw beef sammich)

    Of course ground beef back then was better then now and on rye bread with onions and pepper, it was very yummy. Would have to use ground sirloin now to be edible.

    Most steak is fine but I prefer it Rare, I've had it blue but that's the ultimate lower limit with medium rare the upper. Medium and above gets sent back

    Well done so that at least I know for certain that most if not all the bacteria like E.Coli and salmonella have been cooked out of it.
