How Do you prefer to watch movies?

Surpisingly, I like my theaters crowded...

 

I like empty ones because then you can talk and make predictions which you can't do in a crowded theater.

I voted for crowded theaters because I like the energy of an opening night audience. The film is part of the overall "event" and I like the whole atmosphere. Some NYC crowds can be a lot of fun.

For repeated viewings I like empty theaters to take it all in.

 

I would much rather watch a SW or LOTR epic movie in a crowded theater but others i really dont care. I just don't like to sit next to anyone i don't know.

I voted an empty one because you dont have to worry about some big headed person in your way and plus it's quiter.

I like one that's one about half-full,generally.


Of course some people may see it as half-empty.

I prefer theatres that are full with other people, As long as there cell phones are not going off and they are kicking the back of my seat....

At that point, It becomes Popcorn Warfare

 

love the energy in crowded ones, especially on opening night/weekends

 

Empty. Opening night of Star Wars I like full, because it's full of ginuine Star Wars fans. Any other time, it's half-full of freaking idiots. 3-year-olds at a PG-13 action flick? Talking people who aren't even talking to anyone? Teenagers with loud voices but extremely limited vocabularies? Old people explaining to each other what just happened on screen? Cell phones? No thank you!

 

Large crowds really make it more fun, to hear their reactions and other things. A movie with no crowd just makes it plain boring, no energy level at all. Saw Dodgeball the other day and that was empty. Let me tell you it was a lot more boring than Spiderman 2 since Spidey had a huge crowd

 

Empty because when I watch movies its like Mystery Science Theater 3000.

 

Empty. That way, I don't have to carry people out who do not know how to be quiet and watch.

 

I like an empty theatre. My ex-wife and I used to have fun in the back row.

 

Depends on the movie. Most of the time I like the theatre to be 1/2 full. That way you can get a great seat, but you can still have the atmosphere of being around other people. If it is a movie I have seen before, it can be in a less crowded theater.

 

I like empty ones because I want to kill people that talk at all during movies.

 

Neither, really.

As long as there are seats on the aisle for me, I don't have a preference.
