I know a guy in real life named Kip. One time i accidentally called him Durron, and then i realized that isn't his last name.

Karrde is pronounced "card," hence the delicious pun on his personal ship.

Yeah, there was this guy back in my hometown Boy Scouts group who was named Kip Johnson.

LOL LoveisSuicide! :D If I had a friend named Kip I'd nickname him Durron right away, no questions asked. He'd hate me for it of course, unless he shared my insane fascination with Star Wars.

Ok, I am a bit of a Star Wars linguist, and also have heard audio for the Characters, so I know the right pronounciations.

    Jacen is "Jah-sen", NOT "Jason"

Jaina is "Ja-ina" NOT "Gina" nor a name that rhymes with the major female sexual orafice.

    Karrde is "Card" NOT "Kar-day"

    k?

JAY-son is the correct pronuciation. Don't use the audio books to figure out how they're supposed to be pronounced because they are wrong in so many places (cor-US-kahnt, AL-de-rain, CARD-uh, etc.)

Ah ha!! So I was right about Jah-sen!!! :D I knew it couldn't be Jason. Timothy Zahn said so, and he is correct since he made the character. From now on I will say "Jah-sen" happily knowing it's how Zahn pronounces it too :) Still, even if Zahn said it was Jason I'd still call him Jah-sen just because pronounciation is so nitpicky and silly. If he's Jason to you, then he's Jason. It's ok, I was pronouncing coruscant wrong until episode one came out :)
