How do you pronounce Joruus C'Boath?

This has probably been asked before (this is my very first post on this board...Hi, everyone!) -- so I apologize in advance -- but it's a point of contention between myself and a friend:

I say it's pronounced like JORE-US KA-BAH-TH, while my friend insists on JORE-OO-US KA-BOW-TH (which just sounds dumb to me).

Are either of us right?

jor-us su-ba-oth (New Essential Guide to Characters). It's meant to be Sabaoth, rather than Kabaoth.

Kwenn is correct, but I believe it's "jore-us" for the Jedi Master and "jore-oos" for the clone.

 

Sabaoth!? Really?? My fragile little world is shattered! hmm makes sense though.

I guess I'll get over it,.. it's not like I can pronouce any of the other names either!

 

<-- That's the correct spelling. C'boath is the most common misspelling, along with Timothy "Zhan".

Zahn himself has been quoted as saying it's pronounced "sabbaoth".

 

I did a little research on this and came up with an audio book that had the name of the clone pronounced "Jor-Us Sa-Boweth" - pronounce the 'owe' just as you would if you were hurt and it fits.

 

i always pronounced it Jor-us-ca-bo-ath, ive always known it was wrong, but hey, i dont care, ive pronounced it that way for 5 years so, meh
