How do you pronounce 'Ylesia'?

Just a thought, how do you pronounce it? It's a strange word.

I always thought of it as "yuh-less-ee-ah"

Ya'know, I'd pronounce it that way if it was spelled Yelsia. But it's not.

I pronounce it Ye-Lee-See-Uh. My friend, on the other hand, says Lee-See-Uh, leaving they Y silent. Maybe someone could check the audio versions of the HS Trilogy. We could ask A.C. Crispen herself, but unfortunatly a bunch of rabid Bria hating freaks scared her away from the JC. She used to hang out here every so often.

Ya'know, I can't explain why I pronounce it the way I do. That's just how I pronounce it. I know there's no e between the y and the l, but I've always pronounced it like there is.

I heard a TV ad for perfume here in Aust pronounce "Y" in front of a word as "e".

E-lesia.

 

"Y" can sometimes sound as an "A" also (i.e. Ybor Plaza - I have heard E-bor and Yah-bor)

Anyway... I have started pronouncing it as "Yuh-le-see-uh", I think. (not very good a spelling out pronounciations...)

 

Where does Rostoni get E Lashzia from Ylesia ?
