How do you think Mace will die?

I personally would like to see Palpatine do it. As mentioned before, Mace will solve the mystery and confer with Yoda. Mace decides to confront the Chancellor. That's when Palpatine finally reveals his true sith power and dispenses Mace rather easily.

I don't think we'll see Boba again until ANH.

I don't know how Vader or Dooku will fit into this though.

Honestly, there's a heck of alot that needs to be resolved in Episode 3 and I'm curious as to how Lucas will pull it off in 2 hours.

I said before that I thought that Palpatine shouldn't do anything until he attacks Luke in Episode II. But then you said what I quoted above. Palpatine definitly has to show when he is revealed. He must do something on screen to make him go from Chancellor to Villian. Therefore, your thought of him killing Mace would actually fit in very well.

I think Boba Fett's more likely than anyone to kill Mace, but Vader or Palpy might do him in as well.

Maybe, just to throw in some extra flavor into the rumor pot, Mace commits suicide to avoid doing something he doesn't believe in.

 

I see that many of the people here don't want Boba to kill Mace, but I'm willing to bet that's what is going to happen.

Think about it: We know from spy reports that Boba gives Mace a glare as he flies out of the arena with his father's helmet (most likely thinking of revenge). PLUS, his appearance in ANH:SE leads me to believe that he'll appear in every ep except TPM. In other words, Boba's due for an appearance in Ep III.

And while I realize that Vader's "No disintigrations" comment doesn't HAVE to be explained in the prequels, I still think it will. As for the exact conditions under which Boba disintigrates Mace, I just don't know.

But just as a warning to those who may not like it, I'd say there are overwhelming odds that Boba will kill Mace in Episode III.

 

Mace might get injured or give up to give the others time to escape and Boba kills mace when he is defensless.

Cause 1 on 1 there is no chance Mace will be beaten by Boba

There is just as much "evidence" that leans towards Anakin being the one who offs Mace.

 

I think Mace's death won't be shown. We'll just have to deduce it. I think that when E3 is over, Mace will still be alive. But, 20 years later, when SW starts, Mace isn't around. Ergo, he died. But I really don't expect to see it.

 

He'll die on screen. I think he will be the one to figure out Palpatine=Sith and either Palps or Anakin will kill him. Of all the things Lucas could leave hanging and unexplained in Ep 3, this is not one of them.

My vote goes to Plapatine, I dont want Boba to do it, if that was the case, Mace is killed by a child and yet the experienced/adult Boba is despatched by Han (blind) and Luke (novice).

I think The Doode has nailed it, Mace confronts Palps and getes a roasting.

While this isn't the end all of information, I think this piece of writting shows his character, and foreshadows the type of death he will have in the prequels.

A dab of Aurra Sing
A Gram of Plo Koon
add Some Boba Fett for flavor

Put them all together in a blender..

 

He'll be impaled on a rainbow of different lightsaber colors...

And he'll deserve it.

 

I think Palpy will give Boba the chance of taking out Mace,


Or Anakin/Vader will duke it out with the remaining Jedi. (ala Mace also)

Well most think it will be Vader from what i have gathered

 

Maybe Boba Fett is injured along the lines of how Anakin is injured hence why he is not as good a fighter as Jango. Anakin retains his powers through the force, while Boba is merely a shell of his former self.

I don't think that this will happen, I just thought I'd throw the idea out there.

If I had to guess, Mace will die a valiant death, not at the hands of Anakin/Vader alone. More likely, Palpatine will set some sort of trap. Anakin will prove his power by defeating Dooku.

 

EPIII Mace with a fatal wound after a major battle helps/escort the queen away..
and later dies when they arive.

 

Do you think that Mace will dissapear when he dies?

 

I think Anakin should kill Mace in Episode III. That would be cool. I'd like to see Anakin whack quite a few Jedi's as he turns to the dark side.
