well, there are meantions in the comics and in the novels of what i believe is called "quey-tek" technique of masking ones 'force presence"

quinlan vos does it and learns it fro master tholme.

assaj attempts to do it in the cartoons to dooku but fails.

dooku seems to be very good at it - but in LoE - he notes that the combined efforts of anakin and obi-wan manage to track him down.

but the obvious superstar master without equal par excellence is Palpatine.

it appears at the end of LoE palps chooses to be discovered [this is not an HCSF thread] by no longer trying to do it...

do you think we will find out through any dialogue in RotS how exactly palpatine manages to "HIDE / MASK" himself from the jedi -- including yoda and the entire jedi council over the course of years and years - so often right in front of their faces?

or is it arbitrary and unimportant to both the plot AND TO YOU, my fellow fans?
