Speculation How does one become an extra, etc?

Do they have postings on a website, I didn't pay attention to how the prequels were handled. I"d take a year off to be on the set!

 

They will go through extra casting agents.

 

That'd be interesting, I might attempt this.

 

But you have to ask in French.

 

Depends on where they shoot. For things in La they use Central Casting, where you have to go register and apply, call in daily to hear about possible background gigs that are shooting in the next couple days. But you may have no idea what they are for when you accept. I assume this process is similar in Austrlia or the UK where they have shot.

... basically I'm just explaining this to say that it ain't gonna happen.

 

With Disney in the pilot-chair it might be hard for anybody in the UK to get cast as an extra - though Disney have used the UK before (Thor, Captain America) to name a couple of recent ones - so fingers crossed. I imagine like Bond and Thor they will use Mad Dog Casting & Universal Extras!
