How Does Star Wars Rate Among Your Favorite Movies.

How high does a Star Wars film (any film) rate on your all around favorites list?

Mine would be:
1. Beau Geste('39 verison)
2. The Godfather
3. The Lord of the Rings (both FOTR and TTT)
4. Raiders of the Lost Ark
5. The Empire Strikes Back
6. Attack of the Clones

 

Pretty high I've got to say. I can't really rate my favourite movies in order because they change with my mood. But Empire consistently is my fav movie more than any other.

4. ANH
5. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
6. The Matrix

But seriously, I refuse to put any other films at the same level as Star Wars.

 

It's different. When I list my favourite movies I always forget to list Star Wars. But it's like... I grew up with Star Wars. I adore Star Wars. I breathe Star Wars a lot of the time. I don't think of it as a movie. I grew up with it and it's part of who I am. It's a saga bigger than just some movie and so I never really include it in my list of 'favourites'. It's just on a different level. Same with Indiana Jones

Thats one thing i dislike. People go on about how LOTR is better then Star Wars, it has better graphics, better actors... sure.

LOTR hasnt stood the test of time, theyve been here for about 2 years, while star wars is about 35 years!

At the Moment there are pretty similar amounts of fans for the 2 movies, HOWEVER over time im POSOTIVE fan numbers will drop. so when LOTR has its 35 year ann, we'll see how well it shapes up to be.


BTW, Star Wars Movies shouldnt be ranked as 5 (soon to be 6) different movies, theyre a Saga, they share 1 spot.
