How is Jude Watson writing so fast?

For the whole Jedi Apprentice series, it's basically been one new one every other month. Now, though:

Book 16: December 2001
Book 17: January 2002
Book 18: February 2002
Special Edition #2: March 2002
Jedi Quest #1 and #2: April 2002

How is she spitting the durned things out so fast?

 

I think it has something to do with writing formulaic garbage.

 

This I know, but she's been doing that for more than a year, and it's been at a pace of one bit every two months. Now it's at least 1 per month, and one of thsoe is a "special edition." So how is it now monthly?

Most writers of "Young Adult" fiction series are able to produce a new book each month. Because of the target audience, fonts can be larger, books can be smaller, and plots don't need to be very creative. With a particularly popular series, several writers may also work under the same name.

 

I'm a completist, so I buy all of these, and I'm not looking forward to now spending twice as much on these things...

Anyway, #16 came out in NOVEMBER. #17 just came out NOW, which is JANUARY. That's two months.
