Right now there's some sort of charity book-sale going-on in this office building's lobby at the moment... in addition to such classics as T.E. Lawrence's "Seven Pilliars of Wisdom", and hardcover copies of Ender's Game and Starship Titanic (all of which I got for a dollar each), I found the "Episode 1 Lightsaber-Marker Activity Book", which features a cutoutable "HONORARY JEDI KNIGHT CERTIFICATE" on the back-cover (signed by Yoda!)

So... IN YOUR FACE, non-Jedi!!!!! :D [face_laugh]

    Hi Ken,

Thanks for the info, I just picked up
cold weather Obi Wan ( Snowy Wan ) and
Jedi training Qui Gon from the Toys R Us
out here in Etobicoke. By the way did I
ever give you whose figures that you were
looking for before I moved. I think they were
Darth Maul Sith Lord, Mara Jade, and the Royal guard. My mind, loosing it I am, yes,
    uummmmm !!!

the building is called "401 Richmond". The address is "401 Richmond West".

It's some sort of charity booksale of Chapter's remainder stock, all stuff that they either have too many copies of, or things slightly damaged (but usually very minimally). I got the only copy of Ender's Game... they still have two copies left of the Episode One hardcover (one Maul cover, one Amidala cover) if anyone needs one... those are $8. Most of the good stuff (SF) is gone by now... although there's still a Harrison Ford biography on the $2 table ;D

Wow, Tracy... sure, if those are all unused, I'll gladly take 'em all if the price is between a whole buck and a whole two-bucks for each :) And, I'd *definitely* want the scratch'n'sniff if you ever run across another copy! :D

I recently lost the auctions for every SW ebay item I had bid on... including an old educational book about computers featuring 3po, and an R2-shaped cassette player. ;p dang.

Ken: do you just have the one sign left? Which size is it, and how much do you want for it?

    See y'all Friday,

    ~mike~

80's vinyl ROCKS!!! My son, on a recent trips to Grammie's house, saw the pathetic old record player she still had there. WE brought it back home, along with all the 45s and albums and spent a night going through it all.

From Styx Kilroy Was Here to Sweet Ballroom Blitz to Kung Fu Fighting to Cory Hart - it was a good night of good music.

that stuff's great fun... I'm more into singer/songwritery types who were at their most-prolific in the 80's (ie. Elvis Costello, Tom Waits, XTC, Joe Jackson, T-Bone Burnett, early REM... and of course... Bowie), although still have my fair share of classic throwaway 80's pop-singles. I've got a great two-LP set of the A New Hope soundtrack with extensive liner-notes from John Williams, describing every track. Neat stuff.

    Hi guys, two things:
Topgun Mike: I called Nina and she does have an extra copy of the scratch and sniff. Unfortunately, she can't make it to the movie tomorrow so you may have to wait until the next movie night. Are you going to Toronto Trek? I know she will be definately be there.

JediJeff: I have some eighties vinyl. Any artist in particular that you are looking for? Perhaps we could do some trading for that poster or other Star Wars stuff I'm huntin' after. E-mail me.

I've still got one or two of the lightsaber pen packs to sell (at cost of course).

Did you want one, it's so hard to keep track of these little things.

I'll try to remember to bring one along tomorrow.
