Will it ever Happen?? McCallum calls it the Dream. Lucas want's you to think of it as one continuous movie. Will their be a Major Rerelease of the other 5 films after Episode III comes out? If so will their be double, triple, even a sextuplet feature so you can actually watch all the movies on the big screen?

Or will this be an experience only ever known in the privacy of your own home?

i think some small theater will probably do it within a few years of episode iii, but i can't imagine a major release of all six, as cool as that would be.

In about 20- 30 years... now that would be a very nostalgic viewing of all six films...

Nice thought, but I'm sure it will be "Coming Soon" to Home Theaters only! ;)

If it ever does take place, which is doubtful (yet awesome) at best, probably a year or two after to give it a chance to come out on DVD and properly circulate.

Some theatres near me showed The Two Towers and Fellowship of the Ring back to back last December, so it could be possible some theatres might do something similar for Star Wars, maybe just show the prequel trilogy in a row. I would love to watch all six at a theatre but that would be 12+ hours of movie and theatres might not want to host that long of an event, but you never know. I do know however that there will be a showing of all six Star Wars movies at my house the day Ep. III comes out on DVD. :)

My attention span wouldn't hold out. My head aches after I stare at a screen too long be it television/movie/computer/whatever. I couldn't hold out....

    Mace Windy,

I don't know if I could do all in one day... but I cpuld do two a day for three days. If it was a One Weekend only Celebration sort of thing I'd be able to sit through them. But you gotta prep for that sort of thing...

I'm with Windy on this one. After about 90 minutes of sitting in a cinema, I tend to get rather fidgety. I guess I have a TV attention span (ie. I am used to 30 minute/hour long tv shows)

I don't know if I could possibly stand 12 hours of that stuff.
I could watch the prequel trilogy in one day, and the OT the next day.
    mmmm.......That sound like fun. ;)

It would be neat, but I doubt it will happen.

First off, watching all six movies in a row with take up more than half of the day, and I doubt people will be able to find that kind of time.

Second of all, I'm not sitting through twelve hours in the theater unless there is an intermission more than once ;)

Wow, That would be some show!

I don't think I could sit through all six movies, I would need intermissions for the Washroom, To stretch my legs....

I'd be willing to give it a try though ;)

While I could sit through 12 hours of Star Wars, this thread shows that alot of people couldn't. So I don't think that we will get all 6 at once. Perhaps they will show the PT for a month or two, then the OT afterwards. Similiar to what they did for the SE's

Here's, at least, what I see happening with the release of the entire 6-episode Star Wars saga:

Release 1 movie per month for six months.

    Yes? No?

Well, I'd be up to the challenge to see all 6 movies (with intermission of course), but I don't know about all that Esplin! [face_laugh]

looks like onnly die-hard star wars fans would be up to the challenge...

i would definitely do it. it would be like woodstock and youre around a bunch of
cuh-razee fans! that would be great.

intermissions would only be in between movies. for ten minutes.

but this probably wont happen for about 16 years.

I'd go and sit through the OT portion, but there's no way I'd want to or be able to sit through all six.

If it does happen, it will probably be only a few theaters here and there that do it. Most theaters won't give up that time to cater to a small group of die-hard fans.

Hey Asprin9466, you nyalist. Why would you go through typing all that junk out?!? Nobody wants to watch 13 billion hours of anything. Except in your case, where you have nothing better to do. I didn't realize there were two episode sixes.

I could see it happening here in Austin... we have a place where you can get real food and beer and watch movies... unfortunately the seats aren't super comfortable so one could only stand to watch one entire LOTR movie and thats about it.

You'd have to schedule bathroom breaks and intermissions in the middle of and between the movies if this were to be attempted.

    *cocks eyebrow*

Well, first of all, it's Esplin, not Asprin or Donny. Second of all, "nyalist" is not a word, so I'm not sure how to respond to that. Third of all, I didn't type it, I copied and pasted it. If I remember where I copied it from, I'll be sure to tell them about the two Episode Sixes. Fourth of all, I'm sorry you didn't like my joke, but that's no reason to call me a "nyalist," whatever that means. And that's really no reason to post inadequately concealed expletives.

I don't know what that assault was all about either Esplin, what a clown.

I could do all 6. And I will at home. Finding someone to do the theater with might be difficult.

By the sound of things not even many of us would be able to sit through all 6, and we're die-hards. I doubt theaters would find enough "regular" people to make this financially feasable.

But, I'd go. Bring it on!
