Mass how long do you think ROTS will be in cinema?

my current semester is up 8/24. i'd like to watch it a few more times in the cinema by that time. do you think ROTS will still be playing?

 

It will probably start to fade out around that time. LFL will be prepping things to release RotS on DVD in November in time for the holidays. AotC Left the theaters some time in the end of the summer/beginning of the fall.

 

I'm guessing that it will probably be gone by the end of July. Right now it's only bringing in around $6.5M a week and with more "must-see" movies to be released, that total will shrink even more.

I could see them bringing it back for a "special" one or two week release in the fall to help promote the DVD though. My advice is to see it as soon as possible.

I know how you feel, it stinks to have courses in the summer, I'm taking Microbiology.

Well, the Microbiology is a requirement for my major. Late August and early September sounds right for the duration of ROTS in the theatres.

 

RotS has slipped down to the #8 spot on the Top 10 list, so with Fantastic 4 due out this weekend it probably won't be in theaters much longer.

 

I'm surprised it finished that low. I figured with the ticket promotion theaters were running this weekend it would have jumped back up around #5.

With Fantastic 4 opening this week and Willy Wonka next week, ROTS stay in the top 10 will be ending soon.

 

my first summer session ends next week so i'll have time either this weekend or next! awesome, it's still in the cinema and in DLP too!!! =).

 

it's now at the dollar cinemas!!! WHAT A DEAL! i might go this week or the next =).

It's playing at the cheapo theater in West Bolyston. I might go see it there one last time before I get the DVD. Then again I might wait for the DVD. Hopefully it will have some of the deleted scenes that would tie things more together.

It is always sad to see a cheap theatre close. Paying nine or ten dollars a ticket is not fun.

 

ROTS has actually EXPANDED the # of cinemas! i'm going to see ROTS at Quincy this Saturday@1PM probably =). you just can't beat $2.50!!! that's awesome!

You definitly can't beat $2.50 these days. That is a good price. You know the prices of movie tickets are getting too high when you go with your friends to a movie theatre in a outlet mall in the middle of nowhere in CT and each movie ticket costs $7.75.
