How long have you been a Star Wars fan?

I've been a devoted Star Wars fan since 1995, so that makes it 8 years now. Only recently (past few years) have I begun having some real fun by dressing up in costume for events like Comic Con.
I will be a Star Wars fan until the day I die, though. I can guarantee that.

 

When I was younger I HATED star wars!

I thought it was a bunch of lightsaber woshy junk!

Then me and my dad saw TPM and I STARTED LIKEING STAR WARS!

Later I saw the OT. Been a fan ever scence!

 

Been a fan since 1977.

 

Since I saw ANH on BETAMAX back in 1981. I was 2 at the time and saw the movie in SPANISH!

since december 2002 when I saw Attack of the clones for the first time. Everyone I know had seen it fbefore me and they all said it was way awesome but I thought itbut I thought it was for geeks. then finally I saw it at a friends house after it was on video and I was so impressed that I wnet straight to the store and bought it and watched it several times.

Then I dug out the old trilogy videos and watched those and borrowed the Phantom Menace vidoe and watched it.

Then I went on the Internet and looked for more information. That's when I saw MESSAGEW BOARD for the first time. Ithought it was a hoot and here I still am .

 

Almost 7 years. Goodness, it doesn't feel that long!

May of '77 here too... when I wanted to grow up to be John Dykstra.

 

I'm gonna go with 1987 because that's when I was born and I was born into SW fandom. Don't even remember 'first' seeing the OT because my family just always watched them and I always loved them.

So percentage wise, pretty much 100% of my life which is the best I can do. I couldn't make myself born earlier

Since June of 1977. I was 4 years old and saw ANH in the Americana Theater in Southfield, MI. I still remember being so pissed off that Darth Vader got away! LOL

 

Looking through here, 7 people have been SW fans for longer than me.

That's good, makes me feel younger

 

since I was 5, When I was able to understand it.

 

Since AOTC came out in theatres So it would be a year and three months now.
