How long have you been into starwars

I became a fan with the special editions. Before that I'd only seen SW. After seeing it in the theater though... I was hooked the second ROTJ ended. I loved the trilogy and I wanted more.

i wasn't even born when the originals were out. i became obessed when the special editions came out, that's bout when i was 8.

 

Been with it since the whole thing started. 1977 *wistful sigh*

When I was little, I hated Star Wars just because I had a mean older cousin who liked it, plus I just thought it was the typical boy 'shoot em up' sort of thing.

But, when I was 11, I saw Return of the Jedi on tv. Blew me away. I don't even think I had seen ANH before I saw Dark Force Rising in a book store and had to have it. First real novel I ever read, probably. I was totally hooked.

After Star Wars, I started liking Trek and other fantasy/sci-fi stuff, and I became interested in science, as well. My room has so many goddamn books... I'm only short a couple Star Wars books (tGoDV and DM: Saboteur). The Waldenbooks people all think I'm insane.

Lemme see... I was 11, so that would be about 6 years for me. And I've been a hardcore fan from the beginning.

 

Dear god I feel old. I find it fascinating that so many of the fans of SW are so new and young to the universe. It's encouraging that many of you seem to say that you got into the films because older siblings or relatives talked you into watching them.

I've been a fan since I was 6 when the madness began in 1977. I saw it 7 times in the theater, and afterwards listened repeatedly to the SW PBS radio broadcast that my sister and I taped. Hence I know the dialogue from ANH pretty much word for word. If I ever slightly misquote, it's likely because it's the way it was presented there.

So Chalk me up for 25 years and counting....

My dad took me to see the origanil Star War when it was first realesd when i was 6 months old. i've seen them all on the big screen, OT, SE, PT.

Little over a year for the EU, about 7 years for the movies.

 

just before the special edition trilogy came out, i borrowed the original version from a friend so that if i can compare the 2 versions of the trilogy. i was aware of star wars, but i haven't really watched it before cause i thought it was a lame old movie. but after i saw the trilogy i was blown away. that was in 1996/7 and i've been hooked ever since.

 

I saw Star Wars back in 1991, when I was six years old. It really hit me, but since no one else really liked it, and I didn't know that it had any fans, it was hard for me to have it as a 'hobby' (or even more as a life-style).

Then, 1997, when OT:SE was released, absolutely nothing could hold me back from being a fan. And here I am, teasing you, guys.

 

I've been into StarWars since 1980. I mean, when ESB came out and Luke Skywalker was starting on his path to be a Jedi, I was so into it and have been eversince.

After the intro of one Boba Fett in 1980...even a more bigger Star Wars fan!

 

I have been a fan since 1977. I had my father take me to SW roughly 8 times during its first release. It was the time that my dad got to spend with me. I was 3 years old at the time and it is the first memories that I have.....although I guess you can say that I didn't truly understand it. But I am so glad that GL made the movie.

 

4 years now.

Well, I rounded up to 6 - 10 years, cause that'll be true in December.

 

I said 10-20. I'm 17 and I've been into SW since I was a little girl.
