How long is the timeline for the events in Jedi:Starfighter?

I just got this game from a store down the street, along with the first one; "starfighter", both for PS2, and need some information for when the events take place, I know that some of the last missions deal with the battle of Geonosis and in the begging of the game you are sent out on a combat test of the new Jedi starfighter. When was the Delta-7 Aethersprite introduced into Republic service and when do the events in this game take place? I know there is a holonet news article about the introduction of an improved version of the aethersprite, but I can't find any data on when the ship was introduced into service? I need help!

Oh, and I beat both games; they are short but sweet!
