    Simple question.

My guess it will finish up in March or April sometime.

Well. I live in Alaska, and today is its last day. Needless to say I'm going to the final show tonight at 7pm.

Definitely slowed way down now, but still getting customers.
I can see the number of session times dropping. There will be diehard fans enough for one session in the evening for a while. Through Feb anyway.

I reckon a cinema could do a "Rocky Horror" and put it on once a week after that. For the fans. A discount for anyone who dresses up.

I feel like it's probably going to hit my "budget" theater in about a month. Then it (as other big blockbusters do) will have another 3-4 weeks or so there. So my guess is it'll be completely out of theaters by mid March/end of March. Which makes sense, cos it'll be coming out on blu-ray not long after that.

I miss the days when a SW movie will come out during my last week at school, and will be in the theaters for me to see all through my summer vacation, and still be in its final days in theaters even a week or two after I come back for my new year at school.....:)

Regarding the DVD/Blu-Ray release I can't find an article, but Mark Ellis said on Collider Jedi Council last week he heard Amazon slated the release date for June 30th provisionally.

If true, I think late March or early April would be a good estimate. Depends how long the film can fend off other performances in the box office I suppose.

TFA was already pulled from my local theater after 4 weeks(!) to make for Norm of the North. The closet theater showing Star Wars is now an hour away from me.

That's my plan, too. I've seen it 4 times and I'm waiting for the last showings at my local theater to see it one more time.

"The Force Awakens" is still showing at some of the major cinemas in the Millennium Falcon's current home of Petaling Jaya, Malaysia (next to Kuala Lumpur), more than a month since its opening on December 17... I reckon that most of these cinemas will continue showing TFA until Thursday (January 28), when it will be gradually eased out to make way for movies that are released in conjunction with the coming Chinese New Year celebrations. =D=

It's still doing well in Japan, and should still be in theaters in February.

Is that the new leitmotif for Star Wars Episode VIII: Rise of the Guesser?

Saw it for the 8th time last night. Still fabulous. And I love Rey more than ever. Now Han has gone, she is my favorite character.

The theater I saw Raiders of the Lost Ark no longer stands. :(

Not so well in China, or so I've heard.

It depends on audience, from theater to theater. Now that they don't have to ship physical prints anymore, they can play the digital copy as long as they have an audience. If we keep going, they'll keep showing it.

Good to hear, I want it to sink Titanic so bad (see what I did there?) Anyway I think it will get another boost in theaters during Spring Break, then it will slow down and eventually end during Mid April. Its still going strong at our local IMAX though nearly sold out every showing.

Same way at Phoenix IMAX. When we were there on Sunday there were very few empty seats. It leaves IMAX on January 29th to make room for The Finest Hours with Chris Pine.
