Census How many car accidents have you been in?

None.

 

I have been in two.

 

U.S., two. Overseas... who knows.

 

None as the driver, several as a passenger.

 

I'm not sure. I think between 3-5, but that could be off.

 

Two... and that was how I learned that things can change in less than ten seconds, so if you're going to back up, DO look in your rear view mirror, even if you were darn certain there was no one back there ten to twenty seconds before. Cars going around behind that weren't there before, cars pulling out of parking spaces... you never know.

 

Two. Once when I was a kid and my Uncle was driving, and once when I nudged the back of another car in a queue. In both cases there was no damage to either vehicle, but I suppose they both constitute 'car accidents'.

 

Three. The first time I fishtailed and hit the car in front of me when I hit a patch of black ice, once when a car hit me from behind when it was raining really hard. The third time (which was the worst) I was hit on my driver's side and my car was totaled. Luckily I walked away from it.

 

Six. Two were my fault; the rest were being hit by other drivers, luckily all were minor.

 

Two. First time while it was pouring, second time on an icy road and I hit a ditch. We needed a frickin' tractor to get my car out.

 

Two, where my father was the driver, and one with my grandmother, where she was also the driver. I, however, remember two of those accidents. I was too young to remember the first car accident I was involved in, which I've been told, was a good thing.

 

I've probably been in 5 or so as the passenger. None as the driver, knock on wood.

 

Two, none were my fault and I was behind the wheel in only one. The first one I was in was particularly scary as I lost control of the car on a very icy road.

 

I once slid entirely through an intersection. Luckily no one was coming.

 

None! But I've only been driving for 2years so that might have something to do with it....

 

Two, I wasn't the driver of the car in either accident though.

 

I was in one 10 years ago when I was 16 and I haven't been in one since.

 

None, though I had an awfully close near-miss around a decade ago (someone turned onto the road right in front of me - I've never heard tyres squeal so loud as mine did that afternoon).
