I think US american's speak english the last time I checked. Then again what were all those classes I took through school, and still need to take a few in college that say english on the cover, ;)? But yes the dialect might change, but the language remain the same.

Remember, anyone who lives in north or south america are americans technically.

    Other than that, :D.

Southern United States: May the Force be with youall

JWK, ?Youall? is not spelled like that! It is spelled y?all. The ?oo? sound in ?you? is skipped.

I would like to add something to the Canadian way to say it:
May the Force be with you, eh?

:D I'm Canadian so I can make fun of myself.

by the way, is it true that in the US at McDonald's you don't say "the Big Xtra Meal" but like the "big and tasty Meal."
and they say we're weird ;)

Well, it depends, on the west coast of California, I they still sell the big extras in some places.

While in the central valley of california they sell the big and tasty.

At one time they used to sell the big extras in the central valley, but they changed menus to the big and tasty.

I've had both hamburgers in the same day once, because I had a big xtra for lunch in san franscisco, and a big and tasty for dinner in the central valley.

Having had both sandwiches, I can confirm that they are totally different sandwiches. The buns are differnet for one. As well the big xtra has slightly differnet sauce, and the meat is spiced a bit more.

Not to mention the big extra useally comes with bacon standard. I don't eat bacon so I had to ask for them to make me one without bacon.

Something weird, is useally the mcdonalds in wallmarts serve menu items that share the same name as a normal mcdonalds but are smaller or different design for the burger. (for instance big and tasty in wallmart, was about a happy meal sized hamburger with 2 patties of meat, and lettuce and tomato and onions.) Which makes warn people if you want better deal for you buck, avoid eating menu items in wallmarts.

So in a word, the menus are different in each area, depending one what sells well, even from county to county.

_Tenel_Ka_: I totally agree: my sister mentioned that to me when I was telling her about this topic (we're Canadian too). Wow, this is pretty cool-I never knew how to say it like this. If I ever go to another country I can unite with my fellow SW fans, eh?
